With four teams not in Premier League action this weekend, it promises to be an important Gameweek for FPL managers as we approach the business end of the season.

Here are the best players for FPL Blank Gameweek 29 using Fantasy Football Hub’s AI-predicted points. If you’re struggling to settle on which FPL move to make, get your AI-recommended transfers right here!

Defender: Gabriel v Chelsea (H) - 4.7 points

Arsenal remain one of the top defences to target in FPL this season, ranking third for clean sheets with 10. They’ve conceded the fewest number of big chances on their goal (38), with a league-best 24 goals conceded. They’ve kept two clean sheets in the last four Gameweeks.

The reverse of this fixture ended in a 1-1 draw, but Chelsea are struggling for form on the road. They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet away from home in 2025, conceding nine goals and scoring just three. This bodes well for Arsenal to win and keep a clean sheet.

Gunners centre-back Gabriel is central to both their clean sheet potential and goal threat from set pieces, with three goals and two assists this season. He ranks third among defenders for big chances on goal with eight, having registered 20 shots in the box.

Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes v Leicester City (A) - 5.4 points

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes dominates the transfers in for Gameweek 29, with the perfect storm of form and fixture. He has produced four goal involvements in the last three Gameweeks, two goals and two assists. He’s also on penalties.

The Red Devils travel to Leicester City this weekend, with the Foxes in a five-game losing streak, conceding 13 goals in this spell. They haven't kept just one clean sheet all season as they continue to sit in the relegation places. Fernandes is an ideal punt for managers playing the Free Hit chip this week.

Fernandes' best fantasy return of the season came in the reverse of this fixture, scoring 17 fantasy points, one of three double-digit hauls. Manchester United were the 3-0 victors on that occasion, with Fernandes having a hand in all three goals, with one goal and two assists.

Forward: Erling Haaland v Brighton (H) – 7.1 points

With no competition from the usual suspects Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak due to postponements caused by the League Cup final this weekend, Erling Haaland is the best predicted pick among all players by AI going into the weekend.

The Manchester City striker trails Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race with 20 goals for the season. He scored in the reverse fixture, which saw the Seagulls take a 2-1 victory. Haaland arrives at this game in a good run of form, with two goals and one assist from his last four league starts.

Haaland has produced an attacking return in every home game he’s started in 2025 as he continues to thrive at the Etihad. Fantasy managers will be looking to sell other high-value assets to fit the £14.7 million-priced striker into their team given his standout captain status.

Hidden Gem: Antoine Semenyo v Brentford (H) - 5.3 points

Looking at the fixtures on offer this weekend, Bournemouth hosting Brentford should be a key one to target, particularly for managers utilising the Free Hit chip in this blank Gameweek. The Cherries have scored 18 goals in 2025, ranking them fourth of all teams in the league.

The return of Evanilson from injury last time out has meant a tweak in Bournemouth’s attacking set-up, in which Antoine Semenyo was the standout midfield option in the first phase of the season. Justin Kluivert has overtaken him in popularity since the turn of the year, with Semenyo a differential in just 8.7% of sides.

The Cherries midfielder has been a consistent starter this season, regularly completing 90 minutes. He has 12 goal involvements in this time: seven goals and five assists. The only concern in potential investment is that he has produced just one assist in the last four Gameweeks.
