20:30 GMT - And that wraps it all up for this weekend. Thanks for joining us - see you next time!

19:36 GMT - Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said it was "a great day" for the club after beating Man City.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, he said: "During the game (my feelings) was so-so. At the end maybe more than unusual. It's a great day for us, especially against the level of opposition we played today.

"To beat them in the manner we've done, a lot has to go your way.

"We played aggressively, with a lot of courage. Even if you want it, they are that good that sometimes you have to stay deep and suffer, and enjoy those moments as well. We had a bit of luck in some moments."

19:27 GMT - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola lamented his side's defeat at Arsenal and said there was "no defence".

"We can learn, there are margins to get better. It's difficult when you lose 5-1, there's no defence," he told Sky Sports. "But the game was well played. Arsenal, I know how many teams defend deep after 90 minutes.

"It happens. It's football. There are a lot of goals. It happens. I don't like it, I'm a bit sad. But it's time to continue. We have a long week, we learn from that again. I know the players want to do it.

19:06 GMT - Declan Rice said Arsenal are "buzzing" after their statement win over Man City.

He told Sky Sports: "To win 5-1 is an unbelievable scoreline. We had fire in our bellies from what happened at the Etihad at the start of the season, we really wanted to amend that. I think we did.

"It’s been building up over a certain amount of time. They nicked the title off Arsenal when I wasn't here and then they beat us to the title. It’s been hard to accept that and then everything that went on at the Etihad, you do get that fire in your stadium.

"The boys are buzzing. We are still off the top and that’s where we want to be."

18:54 GMT - In the blue corner (quite literally), John Stones apologised to the travelling Manchester City fans as his side completely unravelled in the capital.

"It is difficult. I think all of us don't take losing well," Stones told Sky Sports.

"It is hard to put into words straight after a game like that. Pride hurts. Sorry to the fans that have travelled to come and watch that.

"How we played in the last 30 minutes was not acceptable. Personally and collectively, it's not us."

You can read more on that story here.

On Arsenal's performance, Stones added: "It is not nice to be involved in that when you know it's not your team in those situations. Credit to Arsenal, this is not an easy place to come to. For 65 minutes, we played some great football at times.

"We were in the game and it was a swinging point. It swung the wrong way for us. I am angry, upset personally and collectively about how the game finished."

18:48 GMT - Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who got the scoring party going for the Gunners, was left beaming by his side's statement display.

"It was a top game and a top performance," Odegaard told Sky Sports.

"With the fans and the atmosphere and the scoresheet like that it can't be better."

18:32 GMT - A huge result for Arsenal that could have massive implications when it comes to the Premier League title race.

They still trail Liverpool by six points having played a game more, but that victory today will no doubt give them tremendous confidence.

Meanwhile, Brentford have had a couple of half chances as they probe for the opener against Tottenham.

13:15 GMT - No Micky van de Ven for Tottenham this afternoon despite getting 45 minutes during the Europa League in midweek.

However, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou said there's nothing to worry about as they ease him back into action following a hamstring injury.

"We're just trying to manage his minutes," Postecoglou told Sky Sports before facing Brentford.

"It is a quick turnaround and I spoke with the medical team and Micky (and decided) to give him another week of training to be ready in another week."

12:50 GMT - Building up for the two earlier games today. We have the teams for Brentford's match against Tottenham and Manchester United's meeting with Crystal Palace:

12:30 GMT - We've had a couple of transfers come in today with two sides in need of defensive reinforcements making moves.

Manchester United announced the signing of versatile Danish left-back Patrick Dorgu from Serie A club Lecce as Ruben Amorim's second acquisition of the transfer.

Earlier, Tottenham sought to ease their injury woes at centre-back by bringing in Kevin Danso on an initial loan from French side Lens.

12:00 GMT - Good morning and welcome back to Flashscore's Football Tracker!

Plenty more in store today after yesterday's Premier League action, starting with Brentford hosting Tottenham and Manchester United at home to Crystal Palace at 14:00 GMT.

Those two games are before the big one at 16:30 GMT when Arsenal welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium as they look to reduce the gap to league leaders Liverpool.

Who will stay humble today?

Saturday, February 1st

21:00 GMT - That concludes our coverage for today. Join us again tomorrow as Brentford take on Tottenham, Manchester United face Crystal Palace and Arsenal look to close the gap on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League with a crunch clash at home to Manchester City.

See you then!

20:07 GMT - Wolves manager Vitor Pereira said he was "very happy, very proud" after playing a "tough game" against Villa.

"Tactically we played with quality," he told Sky Sports. "We played as a team with true spirit, working together and suffering together. I'm very happy. Important game not only for the three points but to break this (bad run of results).

"We know it's a long way, a difficult way. With our supporters and this spirit we can do it."

On whether Matheus Cunha will stay at Wolves beyond the transfer window, he said: "(Cunha) has this quality. A special player. He's committed with us. He knows in the future he can play for the best teams in England but he's committed with us."

19:50 GMT - We have some reaction from Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, who has been speaking to Sky Sports.

"We tried. We started very well in the first 15 minutes but when they scored the goal it was more difficult to come back," he said.

"We had more chances to score the second goal and in the second half we tried to push. We competed better but we had two chances to score and maybe if we score it is different.

"Over 90 minutes, we deserved more."

19:48 GMT - Wolves defender Matt Doherty hailed his side's "important" win over Aston Villa and hopes the result can "rally the whole club".

"We knew how important this was after four losses in a row," he told Sky Sports. "The teams around us lost today. We knew Villa had a lot of players missing. We knew it was a big opportunity and we took it.

"If you do the basics right the results will come. We did what the manager told us. We know we're good enough to get points. Today was a good performance."

When asked if it can be a springboard to pull away from the bottom three, he said: "We hope so. We know we’re good enough to beat anyone on our day. This is the type of win that can rally the whole club."

19:45 GMT - Matheus Cunha appeared to be very emotional after scoring tonight. The 25-year-old has been linked to various clubs in the transfer window and after ripping off his shirt in celebration pointed to the Molineux pitch.

Is that a final farewell or just relief to score? There are just over 48 hours to go until we find out...

19:29 GMT - FULL TIME! Wolves have given their survival hopes a massive boost with a hard-fought win over their West Midland rivals Aston Villa.

Villa stay eighth while Wolves climb out of the bottom three. You can read the match report here.

19:27 GMT - GOAL! Matheus Cunha spins around in the box and eventually lashes home to double Wolves' lead. Brilliant strike. How much has that goal added to his value?

19:22 GMT - There will be seven minutes of time added on.

19:11 GMT - And so we go into the final 10 minutes of normal time. Can Villa find a way back into this? As things stand, they are currently four points behind the top four having played a game more. Wolves will climb out of the bottom three.

19:03 GMT - This is odd. Goncalo Guedes walks off the pitch and sits on the bench after being substituted but neither Tommy Doyle nor Rodrigo Gomes are ready to come on.

After a bit of confusion Guedes is finally replaced with Tommy Doyle and Pablo Sarabia stays on the pitch. Gomes comes on for Rayan Ait-Nouri.

18:51 GMT - We’ve played an hour at Molineux and Wolves are under the first sustained pressure of the game so far with Villa having 67% possession in this half.

Donyell Malen has a goal ruled out through VAR for Villa and VAR comes to the aid of referee Andy Madley who waves play on after Toti appeared to be fouled in the box. Still 1-0 to Wolves.

18:36 GMT - Back underway for the second half. Trailing, Aston Villa make four changes with Ollie Watkins one of the withdrawals after suffering an apparent injury in the latter stages of the first period.

18:21 GMT - HALF-TIME! So far, so good for Wolves who have been pretty good value for their lead.

Half-time stats
Half-time statsOpta by Stats Perform

18:08 GMT - It should really be 2-0 to Wolves but neither Matheus Cunha nor Goncalo Guedes can take their chances.

17:43 GMT - GOAL! It's first blood to Wolves as Jean-Ricner Bellegarde fires in at the near post to give the hosts an early lead!

17:30 GMT - Game on at Molineux for this West Midlands clash.

17:15 GMT - Focus is now on Molineux with Wolves hosting Aston Villa in a West Midlands derby.

Wolves slipped back into the relegation zone last week after losing their fourth straight game, while Villa arrive boosted by their qualification for the Champions League last 16 in midweek.

16:35 GMT - GOAL! Liverpool double their lead and it's via Mohamed Salah again with a stunning finish, just as Bournemouth were upping the ante.

With his 178th Premier League goal, he overtakes Frank Lampard and moves up to sixth on the all-time list.

15:21 GMT - GOAL! Southampton have the lead in their bottom-of-the-barrel clash against Ipswich – Joe Aribo the scorer with a volley at Portman Road.

That doesn't make good reading for Ipswich, though, who have failed to win any of their 21 Premier League games when conceding first dating back to December 2001.

15:07 GMT - GOAL! A Second for Everton! The Toffees aren't messing around here as Beto slots his shot into the corner for a 2-0 lead!

15:02 GMT - GOAL! What a start for Everton as they race into the lead against Leicester! Abdoulaye Doucoure takes down a long kick from Jordan Pickford and finishes emphatically!

Just 10 seconds that took at Goodison Park which is the fastest Premier League goal this term. That will take some beating.

14:38 GMT - That was Nottingham Forest's biggest win in the league since they defeated Chelsea 7-0 in April 1991. Very much a statement display that bolsters their European ambitions.

14:30 GMT - FULL-TIME! That is an astonishing result for Forest. It's the perfect response after being thrashed by Bournemouth last week. Plenty of soul-searching for Brighton and Fabian Hurzeler on the other hand, however.

14:21 GMT - GOAL! SEVEN FOR FOREST! Substitute Jota Silva pounces on the goalkeeper's mistake and fires in. This is ridiculous from Forest but equally as pathetic from Brighton.

13:35 GMT - Back underway at the City Ground. Brighton have a big job on their hands to try and salvage something from this one.

The last time they found themselves three down at half-time away from home in the league was at Luton in January 2024, when they were eventually beaten 4-0.

13:30 GMT - With 15 to his name so far this season, Chris Wood has set a new career high for goals in the Premier League. He's been such an asset since joining Forest in 2023.

13:20 GMT - HALF-TIME! Who would've seen this scoreline? Brighton have been so open and played into Forest's hands, but take nothing away from the hosts' ruthlessness so far.

Half-time stats
Half-time statsOpta by Stats Perform

13:02 GMT - GOAL! Three to Forest! This one's turning into a rout as Chris Wood gets in on the act, nodding in a perfect cross at the back post for his 15th goal of the campaign. 3-0 with just 32 minutes on the clock...

12:46 GMT - GOAL! It's 2-0 and Forest are purring! Morgan Gibbs-White gets up highest from a corner and flicks a header into the net to double the hosts' lead.

12:43 GMT - GOAL! It's first blood to Forest in this one as they lead via an own goal from Lewis Dunk after the Brighton defender inadvertently redirects a low cross into the net.

12:30 GMT - Here we go! Game on at an, of course, packed City Ground.
