22:41 BST - "Madness" is how Cole Palmer summed up that game, and who could argue with him?

22:20 BST - FULL-TIME: It's all over, and what a game it was. Manchester United went 2-0 down early in the game thanks to goals from Gallagher and Palmer. However, they levelled things in the first half with a one-two from Garnacho and Fernandes.

Garnacho then looked to have sealed the three points when he headed home from close range, but with the 90 minutes up, Palmer stepped up with a penalty to level things at 3-3 before slamming the ball into the back of the net for a third time to complete the comeback.

22:18 BST - GOAL! Palmer has won it for Chelsea!! He's just scored his third from a deflection after sitting in acres of space when on the ball from a corner. Stamford Bridge has gone absolutely wild, and rightly so.

22:15 BST - GOAL! Wow. Darlot brought down Madueke incredibly clumsily in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. For the second time on the night, Palmer steps up and slots it home to make it 3-3. We've had an incredible game here tonight.

21:43 BST - GOAL! Man Utd have completed the turnaround! It was a scintillating pass from the Antony who threaded the ball perfectly to Garnacho, who heads home for his second of the night. Manchester United, who were 2-0 down, are now 3-2 ahead.

21:42 BST - Here's who were the star performers at Anfield tonight.

21:29 BST - FULL-TIME: The relief from the Liverpool fans, players and their manager is palpable as the referee blows his whistle to end the match. Liverpool went 1-0 up early on thanks to an error from Sheff Utd keeper Grbic. However, things got nervy when Bradley turned in an own goal in the second half.

Fortunately for the hosts, Mac Allister and Gakpo were on hand with late goals to seal a victory which sees them reclaim top spot.

21:20 BST - GOAL! Gakpo is the man to seal the deal for Liverpool with a well-placed header to give Klopp's side a 3-1 lead on the stoke of the 90 minutes.

21:07 BST - GOAL! What a strike from Mac Allister! Sheffield United fail to clear the ball cleanly in their own box and the Liverpool number 10 steps up to fire the ball near perfectly into the top right corner and reclaim the lead for Liverpool. Superb goal under the circumstances.

21:06 BST - HALF-TIME: That's the break at Stamfor Bridge. Chelsea appeared to be cruising when Palmer's penalty made it 2-0 to the hosts, but a one-two from Garnacho and Fernandes has brought Man Utd level. A great game so far!

Key stats from Stamford Bridge

20:54 BST - GOAL! Man Utd are level! The ball is crossed into the box and it looks like Hojlund will try to head it, but he gets the call from his team-mate Fernandes who is in a better position and heads home to make it 2-2.

20:50 BST - GOAL! Man Utd have one back through an error from Caicedo, who gifts the ball to Garnacho. Garnacho goes through on goal and finishes with his left to make it a one-goal game. Chelsea 2-1 Manchester United.

20:49 BST - GOAL! Sheffield United have drawn level! It comes from very little, a harmless looking move down the right, but the ball is crossed into the box and after a header from Haver, the ball bounces off Bradley for an own goal.

20:35 BST - GOAL! Antony brings down Cucurella in the box with a clumsy challenge and Palmer steps up to take the penalty. The Chelsea man fires the ball into the bottom right corner for a 2-0 lead.

20:21 BST - HALF-TIME: We've reached the halfway stage at Anfield. Sheffield United conceded a soft goal through an error from Ivo Grbic, but Liverpool will feel they should be further ahead. 1-0 to the home side at the break.

20:19 BST - GOAL! First blood Chelsea! The home side sweep down the right and on the cut back the ball is delivered for Conor Gallagher who slots past Andre Onana. 1-0 to Chelsea and United will feel they were cut open far too easily there.

20:15 BST - We've kicked off at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea and Man Utd both still have a chance of realising their European ambitions, but a loss tonight would be a big blow to either's progress. Who will come out on top in West London?

19:49 BST - GOAL! Oh dear, that is not what Sheffield United needed. Ivo Grbic takes too long to clear the ball and when Darwin Nunez leaps to block the keepers kick, it ricochets off the Liverpool man and into the goal. Exactly the kind of hunger to pressure Sheffield United that Jurgen Klopp would have asked for.

19:30 BST - Liverpool and Sheffield United have kicked off at Anfield. Can Liverpool reclaim top spot with victory tonight?

19:21 BST - Mauricio Pochettino, meanwhile, has named an unchanged side after their draw with Burnley over the weekend.

19:17 BST - Marcus Rashford drops to the bench as Erik ten Hag makes three changes to the starting XI that drew 1-1 with Brentford as Harry Maguire, Antony and Casemiro are all named for tonight's trip to Stamford Bridge.

18:40 BST - Chris Wilder has also made two changes to his team as Oliver McBurnie drops to the bench along with Ben Osborn, while James McAtee and Auston Trusty start.

18:34 BST - Liverpool have named Curtis Jones in their squad for tonight's clash. He will start from the bench in what is set to be his first appearance for Jurgen Klopp's side since the middle of February.

There are two changes to the side that started in the 2-1 victory over Brighton; Ibrahima Konate replaces Jarell Quansah and Ryan Gravenberch takes over from Wataru Endo.

18:29 BST - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told his side to prepare for another Premier League title race that goes all the way to the last day of the season.

"If we win all our games it will go until the last day because they are not five, six, seven points in front," he said.

"It will not be easy. The feeling I have is not easy. I see Liverpool and Arsenal playing, they don't drop points, it will not be easy."

18:07 BST - Here we go then, can Jurgen Klopp's side respond to the victories from Man City and Arsenal last night? If Liverpool beat bottom side Sheffield United, they will reclaim top spot in the Premier League standings.

Wednesday, April 3rd

23:06 BST - Join us again for more Premier League action tomorrow as Liverpool look to go top of the table with victory over Sheffield United, while Manchester United head to Chelsea in what will be an intruiging fixture at Stamford Bridge. Good night!

22:46 BST - Unsurprisingly, Phil Foden was the man of the match for City. Here's a look at how much ground he covered at the Etihad tonight.

22:22 BST - Rodri, who scored City's first goal, described his side's performance tonight as one of their best of the current campaign.

"Today I think we played amazing from the first minute," he told TNT Sports.

"In general it was one of the best games of the season."

Speaking about Phil Foden, Rodri said: "This young lad now is a more mature player. He can score whenever he wants.

"He's amazing, he has a special quality."

22:11 BST - FULL-TIME: There's the final whistle at the Etihad and City have wrapped up a vital 4-1 win. Rodri put the champions 1-0 up early on, but when Duran and Rogers combined to bring Villa level it looked like the nerves could be getting to Guardiola's side.

Enter Foden, who scored a sensational hat-trick to ensure City are now just a point off leaders Arsenal. As things stand the Gunners are top on 68 points, with Liverpool and City close behind on 67 points each.

Liverpool have a game in hand against Sheffield Wednesday at Anfield tomorrow night, but Arsenal and Man City have done all they can for now.

21:46 BST - GOAL! A hat-trick for Foden, who has been quite brilliant tonight. He picks up a messy ball on the edge of the box after Villa tried to get rid of it, and the youngster strikes it perfectly into the top right corner to make it 4-1.

21:40 BST - GOAL! Foden has another and City are cruising. Rodri, who scored his side's first goal, ghosts through the Villa defence before playing the ball to Foden who places it perfectly to put his side 3-1 up with a little under half an hour to play.

21:26 BST - FULL-TIME: There's the whistle at the Emirates and Arsenal have secured a vital 2-0 win against Luton thanks to a goal from captain Odegaard and an own goal from Hashioka. Arsenal are top of the Premier League as things currently stand, just one point ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City. City's game against Aston Villa is still going on, mind you, and Liverpool have a game in hand which will be played tomorrow night.

The Hatters, meanwhile, are now three points adrift of Nottingham Forest who are just above the relegation zone.

21:23 BST - FULL-TIME: It's all over at the GTech Stadium and by all accounts there's not too many people disappointed about that. It wasn't one of the all-time classics, but Brentford will be happy to pick up another crucial point after their draw against Manchester United on Saturday night. Read the full report here.

21:06 BST - And that's half-time at the Etihad. It looked ominous when Rodri put the champions 1-0 up with barely 10 minutes on the clock, but Duran and Rogers combined to bring Villa level and add a bit of tension to the occasion. However, as they so often do, City struck just before the break as Foden made it 2-1 at the halfway mark with his free kick.

21:01 BST - GOAL! City are 2-1 up thanks to a well taken free kick from Foden. He was the man fouled by Luiz on the edge of the area, and he steps up to put his side back ahead at the Etihad. It was a well directed shot, but it has to be said the ball went through the wall rather than around or over it, which will disappoint Emery.

20:56 BST - With half-time approaching at the Etihad, here's a reminder of how things stand with Arsenal 2-0 up against Luton and City currently level with Villa.

1. Arsenal (68)

2. Liverpool (67)

3. Manchester City (65)

It's worth noting that Liverpool have a game in hand over the other two, with Sheffield United visiting Anfield tomorrow night.

20:35 BST - GOAL! That is brilliant from Villa. Duran and Rogers with the one-two and Duran threads the ball perfectly past Ortega to draw his side level. There's another VAR check but again the goal is upheld.

20:26 BST - GOAL! Here come City! With just over 10 minutes on the clock, Foden feeds Doku down the right and the ball is sent back to Rodri in the box, with the Spaniard hitting it first time to put his side 1-0 up. There was a check from VAR for Doku's run, but the goal stands.

20:21 BST - The half-time whistle has sounded at the Emirates, with Arsenal 2-0 up thanks to a goal from skipper Odegaard and an own goal from Luton's Hashioka. Arteta could hardly have asked for a better first half against a stubborn Luton Town team.

20:20 BST - That's half-time at the GTech Statium, where by all accounts Brentford are a shadow of the side that played so impressively against Man Utd on Saturday night in the same ground. Still 0-0 in West London.

20:15 BST - Man City and Aston Villa have kicked off at the Etihad. There will be a lot of repercussions to come out of that game in terms of the title race and the top four. As things stand Arsenal are top of the table - can City respond?

20:14 BST - GOAL! Arsenal are cruising at the Emirates. Smith Rowe went on a run down the left and put the ball into a threatening position on the cut back. Hashioka, tracking back, caught the ball with his foot to send it into the back of the net for a 2-0 deficit.

20:11 BST - Here's what the two managers had to say ahead of the game at the Etihad. Asked if he might prefer to be in third place and be the hunter rather than the hunted, Pep shook his head and said "I prefer to be hunted."

19:55 BST - GOAL! Smith Rowe does well to dispossess Luton in midefield, and it's the skipper Odegaard who gets the perfect pass from Havertz to slot home in the bottom left corner. The Gunners are ahead, and as things stand they are top of the Premier League.

19:30 BST - With a blow of the whistle from the respective referees we are underway at the Emirates and Gtech Community Stadium - can Arsenal put pressure on City with a convincing win over Luton tonight?

19:25 BST - Lucas Digne, Clement Lenglet, Jhon Duran, Nicolo Zaniolo and Tim Iroegbunam are the five changes to the Aston Villa team that beat Wolves last time out, while Ollie Watkins is sidelined with a hamstring complaint.

19:20 BST - Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Mateo Kovacic have dropped to the bench for the visit of fourth-place Aston Villa. Despite appearing to have received a grilling from Pep Guardiola at full-time in City's draw with Arsenal over the weekend, Jack Grealish has been handed a start along with Jeremy Doku, Julian Alvarez and Rico Lewis.

18:51 BST - Alfie Doughty has recovered from a knock to feature for Luton this evening and starts alongside Jordan Clark and Daiki Hashioka, as well as Fred Onyedinma who makes a first ever Premier League start.

18:46 BST - The surprising news from Arsenal's team announcement is that Bukayo Saka is out of the matchday squad entirely. Mikel Arteta has made five total changes for the visit of Luton, with Thomas Partey making his first Premier League start of 2024. Leandro Trossard, Emile Smith Rowe, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson join Partey in the starting XI, while Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus are on the bench this evening.

18:41 BST - Brighton have made four changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Liverpool on Sunday as Joao Pedro returns from injury and comes into the team alongside Igor Julio, Facundo Buonanotte and Adam Lallana.

18.37 BST - Following Brentford's 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Saturday night, Thomas Frank has named an unchanged side for the visit of Brighton. Sergio Reguilon features on the bench after having served a ban.

17:50 BST - Everton manager Sean Dyche says making sure his side get the "details correct" will be central to their hopes of ending their long winless streak in the Premier League away to Newcastle this evening.

"We have to make sure the details are correct because we haven't been doing that and that's quite obvious in both boxes," Dyche told Everton's website.

"That's what has to certainly be intact when you go to places like St James'."

17:46 BST - Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City's experience of thriving under the pressure of a title race will not be the decisive factor in who wins the Premier League.

The stalemate with the Gunners means City are still to beat one of the top five in the Premier League in six attempts this season.

And Guardiola stressed the need for his side to end that record when fourth-placed Aston Villa visit the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

"We have not many chances to drop points but there are still nine games (to go)," Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference.

"Our experience is over, it doesn't count. What counts is Aston Villa."

17:43 BST - Ahead of tonight's juicy visit to London rivals West Ham, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou told a press conference he wants his side to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title next season.

Asked whether he expects Spurs to be challenging for the title next term, Postecoglou replied: "I hope so. Or why am I doing what I'm doing? That's why I came to the club.

"As somebody said to me last week, 'Just do your job Ange' and my job is to come here and try to bring success."
