Tottenham Hotspur could yet make waves in the transfer window as they continue to assess late options ahead of deadline day.

Flashscore sources indicate that Spurs are still exploring potential signings across every area of the pitch and expect at least one addition before the window closes.

Despite entering the market with significant ambition, Tottenham’s business so far has fallen short of the scale initially envisaged under Thomas Frank.

The forward line remains a key area of focus. Spurs have yet to land the exciting marquee attacker Frank had hoped to secure at the start of the window, with recruitment staff continuing to survey the market for the right opportunity.

Tottenham’s incoming business has been limited to the signing of Brazilian teenager Souza and midfielder Conor Gallagher so far.

Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche remains a name of interest, while Spurs also explored the possibility of a move for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta earlier in the window. Juventus have been trying to sign Randal Kolo Muani simultaneously.

None of those deals yet progressed beyond the exploratory stage, but both underline Tottenham’s intent to strengthen in attacking areas.

Heading into the weekend, sources began to indicate Spurs have been alerted to the situation of Jhon Duran as he weighs up a potential return to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old Colombian, formerly of Aston Villa, is currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Al Nassr but has struggled to settle in Turkey.

Duran has been formally brought to Tottenham’s attention and is being given consideration, although any move will depend on late-window dynamics.

Other clubs, including Leeds United, have also been made aware of his availability in recent days.

With the clock ticking, Spurs remain active behind the scenes as they look to add further quality to boost their chances of turning around the season.
