Former Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa is reportedly 'on the verge' of being named the new Fulham manager.

Fulham are on the hunt for a new manager now that Marco Silva has left to replace Jose Mourinho at Benfica.

It looks like they’ve turned to the man who left Real Madrid in order to allow Mourinho to make his sensational return, Arbeloa.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 43-year-old is ‘on the verge’ of taking the Fulham job following positive talks between the two.

Arbeloa had been in the running to take over at AC Milan, but the Italian giants are now looking to appoint former Man United boss Ruben Amorim.
