Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has spoken to the media as he prepares to take on Manchester United.

Last week’s 2-0 victory over Wolves marked Palace’s third clean sheet on the spin in the top flight, but a midweek loss to Strasbourg put a dent in Glasner’s European hopes.

Glasner will rotate his side

The Eagles are one of just two teams yet to concede 10 goals in the league this season, and they will hope to continue that streak against United. Glasner will switch his focus from Europe back to domestic football as he admitted his side will need to rotate.

"We started with three new players yesterday. We managed Marc Guehi’s and Chris Richards’ minutes, and yes, maybe (we should have rotated more), but it's always the question afterwards.

"Pep (Guardiola) rotated 10 players, and then it was too much, and then we rotated three, then it's maybe too less, and then you rotate five, then it's also not okay at the end. It's always when you win, you have done everything right, and if you lose, then questions are asked.

"Borna Sosa will miss this game again, but Will (Hughes) doesn't look so bad, so we're very hopeful that he’ll be in the match-day squad. All others are fine."

Palace will buy in January

The Africa Cup of Nations is quickly approaching and will begin next month. Many teams, including Palace, will miss several stars, including Ismaila Sarr, who will represent Senegal. Glasner admitted the January transfer window will be crucial to keeping his team in top form.

"I think we need to (bring in a forward). Ismalia (Sarr) will also leave us.

"He is the only player who makes runs in behind. I think we just have to have this profile again. The players on the bench are a different profile; we need players to stretch the defence, and I hope we will get it done."

Palace face a United side who are only just clinging onto a top-half place in the Premier League standings after their 1-0 loss to Everton on Monday night. Glasner revealed he is excited for the clash as his side aim to push into the top four.

"I am really looking forward to this game. They are doing well, I think we are doing well and also yesterday's defeat, we won't lose our minds.

"It is just now, again, finding the right tweaks where we can adjust with no time for training.

"Sunday, high noon!"
