Wilson scored 11 goals and grabbed eight assists in 41 games across all competitions for Fulham last season as he stood out as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders.
The Welsh international is set to be out of contract at the end of this month and was linked to several clubs, including Manchester United, who have failed to step up and make an offer to the 29-year-old.
Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur were said to be keeping tabs on the playmaker who, as per transfer expert David Ornstein of The Athletic, is now set to sign for Leeds as they win the race for him this summer.
The report from Ornstein also states that Leeds attempted to sign the 29-year-old last summer on deadline day, but the deal collapsed as Fulham’s portion of the deal sheet was allegedly not completed before the deadline.
Wilson joins former manager Marco Silva in leaving Craven Cottage, who are set to hire former Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa as their head coach before the new campaign kicks off.
