Ruben Amorim is looking to overhaul United’s midfield after spending over £200 million on new forwards in the summer transfer window.
United have been linked with the likes of Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba, and Elliot Anderson, though they would likely all demand hefty fees.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, United have set their sights on Wolves midfielder Gomes, 24, ahead of January.
Gomes has featured in all 11 of Wolves’ Premier League games so far, starting in nine of them, as they sit rock bottom of the table with two points.
