A stuttering start in the league (one point from two games) was followed by an embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat to League Two side Grimsby Town, a result that’s only increased scrutiny on Ruben Amorim’s side.

Burnley, meanwhile, arrive boosted by their 2-0 win over Sunderland and will sense an opportunity against a fragile Manchester United outfit. But Old Trafford has rarely been a happy hunting ground for the Clarets, which makes this a fascinating clash.

Manchester United to win @9/25 with Bet365

Manchester United may be under pressure, but Burnley don’t travel well to Old Trafford. The Clarets have lost 15 of their last 25 visits here in all competitions, with just one victory since 1962.

United also have an impressive record against newly promoted sides, unbeaten in their last 23 (W20 D3). Bruno Fernandes remains a key influence, with 11 shots and 12 chances created in his last three Old Trafford appearances.

With Bet365 pricing a home win at 9/25, the odds reflect that this is exactly the kind of fixture United need to put things right and for Amorim to save his job.

Tip: Manchester United to win @9/25

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Manchester United beats Burnley regardless of the score

Both teams to score

While Amorim’s side have the quality to win, their defence remains fragile, losing eight of their last 13 Premier League home games and conceding in nearly all of them.

Burnley showed signs of life in their 2-0 win over Sunderland, and Jaidon Anthony has been finding shooting opportunities consistently. Even against Spurs away, the Clarets accumulated an Expected Goals (xG) tally of 0.93.

Given United’s defensive struggles, the even-money odds (1/1) at Bet365 for both teams to score feel well balanced, especially with United likely to leave space in behind as they throw bodies forward.

Tip - Both teams to score @1/1

Bet explanation: This bet wins if both Manchester United and Burnley score at least once.

Matheus Cunha to have 3+ shots

Matheus Cunha has been relentless in attack, registering more shots than any other Premier League player since May (22).

He’s had at least two attempts in every game across that run, and even without goals, his willingness to shoot stands out. His seven shots in the first two Premier League games are the most by any United player and against a Burnley defence that has been shaky at times, it’s easy to see him testing the keeper again.

At 11/25 with Bet365, backing Cunha to register 3+ shots looks like one of the smartest individual player bets for this fixture.

Tip: Matheus Cunha to have 3+ shots @11/25

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Matheus Cunha plays at least three shots against Burnley.
