We’re approaching the final days of what has been another exciting year for followers of the English Premier League. There’s still time for more drama, with the bulk of gameweek 19 played on Tuesday evening. Followers have some fascinating matches on the programme, including Arsenal vs Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium from 20:15 GMT.

Manchester United host lowly Wolverhampton Wanderers, with bookmakers pricing the Red Devils as hot favourites to nail all three points. Will they deliver and continue to climb the ladder? Predicting the outcome of Man Utd vs Wolves should be simpler than solving Nottingham Forest vs Everton at the City Ground or West Ham vs Brighton in London.

The leading online bookmakers featured on Flashscore offer a wide range of pre-match betting markets on every Premier League game in gameweek 19. Armchair fans and bettors can predict the winner, call the correct score, name the first scorer, or target a big win off a small stake with a Bet Builder. Chelsea vs Bournemouth, Tuesday, 19:30 GMT

Chelsea vs Bournemouth
Chelsea vs BournemouthFlashscore

Predicting the results of Chelsea’s matches hasn’t been easy this winter. The Blues have blown hot and cold, showing us only glimpses of the team that won the Club World Cup. It has already been a long season for the team from Stamford Bridge, but they remain in the thick of an unforgiving schedule. Traders expect Chelsea to finish 2025 on a high at home.

Bournemouth arrive in south west London as the underdogs, but the Cherries are a confident bunch. They know the dangers of playing Chelsea, but also recognise there are a few weary players in the home dressing room. The visitors impressed when drawing 4-4 with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier this month.

Both Chelsea and Bournemouth have been involved in their fair share of high-scoring games recently. That eight-goal draw at the Theatre of Dreams was a real Premier League classic and a fantastic advert for English football. Chelsea recently beat Barcelona 3-0 and Everton 2-0 at this venue, but lost 3-1 at Elland Road. Place your bets on over 2.5 goals here.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 4/7 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need this match to finish with three or more goals scored.

West Ham vs Brighton, Tuesday, 19:30 GMT

West Ham vs Brighton
West Ham vs BrightonFlashscore

We remain in the capital but switch to east London for West Ham United vs Brighton. Followers of the Hammers haven’t had too much to cheer about of late, watching their team lose at home to Aston Villa in a goal-fest. They performed better when taking a point from Manchester United and Brighton, with both fixtures ending with 1-1 scorelines.

Brighton failed to make home advantage pay when hosting the Hammers in the first week of December. The Seagulls were firm favourites with all respected betting apps to win and pile pressure on their opponents. Brighton went behind to an opening goal from Bowen with 73 minutes on the clock, but rescued a point thanks to a leveller from Rutter in added-on time.

Looking through the head-to-head stats, including that recent meeting between the teams in East Sussex, we notice an obvious trend. Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings and in four of the previous five games. Included in that run are a pair of 1-1 draws and a 3-2 home win for Brighton. I expect another competitive 90 minutes. Back BTTS.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 8/13 (bet365)

Bet explanation: West Ham and Brighton must score at least one goal each.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa, Tuesday, 20:15 GMT

Arsenal vs Aston Villa

Moving to north London, and Tuesday’s main attraction. Arsenal welcome Aston Villa to the Emirates Stadium, with both clubs holding high hopes of winning the Premier League title. The Gunners are long-time leaders of the division, and recently scored impressive wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brentford at this stadium. But Villa will provide a tougher task.

Despite starting the season slowly, Aston Villa are among the leaders and fighting for one of the prize places. Everyone connected to the club will have a top-four finish in their sights this season, but it could be even better. A strong run of form has lifted the Villans to within striking distance, and an away win on Tuesday would prove they’re genuine title challengers.

When two ambitious, confident, high-flying teams go head-to-head, anything can happen. Arsenal are the pre-match betting favourites, but few pundits are in a rush to write off the visitors. Aston Villa beat Arsenal 2-1 at Villa Park in the beginning of December, and I expect more goals here. Back both teams to score.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 1/1 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need both the Gunners and Villa to get at least one goal each.

Man Utd vs Wolves, Tuesday, 20:15 GMT

Man Utd vs Wolves
Man Utd vs WolvesFlashscore

Our final match on a busy Tuesday comes from Manchester as Man Utd host Wolves. Those in the home dressing room know they missed a huge opportunity to win when scoring four goals but only taking a point when the Cherries came calling. Man Utd must tighten up at the back if they’re to get the win needed.

It has already proven a long and painful season for Wolves fans. The visitors are bottom of the league and showing little to suggest they can pull themselves clear of the danger zone in the coming weeks. Wolves conceded seven goals in their first three games this month, with the bulk of those scored by Tuesday’s hosts as Wolves lost 4-1 when hosting Man Utd.

Manchester United are by no means a reliable side for bettors to follow this season. They’re moving in the right direction, but conceding four goals at home to Bournemouth shows there’s still plenty of work to do. Despite their problems, the Red Devils face a generous Wolves defence, and I’m confident they’ll take full advantage. Back the home win in accas.

Tip: Man Utd win @ 1/3 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Man Utd beat Wolves, you beat the bookies.

Liverpool vs Leeds, Thursday, 17:30 GMT

Liverpool vs Leeds: what a way to start the New Year. It’s a fixture with global appeal and a capacity Anfield is boosted by a huge television audience. Will Liverpool use home advantage to ensure they get 2026 off to a winning start? Three points is a must here for the fans, but the Liverpool squad already knows nothing comes easy against Leeds United.

Daniel Farke will be hoping Leeds can send shockwaves across the Premier League. The visitors are a match for any opponent when at their best; unfortunately for fans, they’re not always firing on all cylinders. Leeds find themselves involved in a bitter relegation battle, ramping up the pressure.

Liverpool and Leeds have served up some memorable contests over the years. Looking through the head-to-head stats on the Flashscore app, we see the pair shared six goals earlier this month in Yorkshire, ending 3-3. The previous five meetings have given fans no fewer than 25 goals. That’s remarkable, and I expect to see another goal-fest on Thursday.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 8/13 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Liverpool and Leeds score a combined three goals or more, you’ll secure a handy profit.

Sunderland vs Man City, Thursday, 20:00 GMT

Sunderland vs Man City
Sunderland vs Man CityFlashscore

We wrap things up at the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland welcome title-challengers Manchester City. The home team recently celebrated a derby win over Newcastle United at this venue, upsetting the odds to beat the Magpies 1-0. The Black Cats also scrapped to a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield, proving their character and fight.

The Manchester City squad appeared to be enjoying themselves when breezing to a 3-0 home win over Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium less than a month ago. Ruben Dias broke the deadlock on 31 minutes, before Gvardiol doubled their advantage less than three minutes later. With the points wrapped up, there was still time for a late goal from Foden.

Pep Guardiola’s men did as expected when beating Sunderland; they were organised at the back and took their chances going forward. I predict a more competitive game as they aim to repeat the feat at the Stadium of Light, but we’re sticking with the Cityzens. Keep it simple and back Man City in the match-winner market.

Tip: Man City win @ 1/2 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Man City take all three points from Sunderland, your bet lands.
