Arsenal vs Leeds United, Saturday, 12:30 BST

We're in North London for a showdown that'll attract a global audience. Premier League champions Arsenal welcome Leeds United, with both clubs sitting in the top five after five rounds of matches.

Arsenal start second in the pecking order, with four wins and one defeat. A dozen points place them three behind Manchester City and their 100% record. Mikel Arteta must pick his side up off the floor following a bruising 3-0 loss at Brighton before the break.

The Arsenal coaching staff have had three weeks to analyse that performance, and appreciate the importance of returning to winning ways at the earliest opportunity.

Leeds United are three places lower in the table than their hosts, with three fewer points. A surprise win in the UK capital would see Daniel Farke's men leapfrog their opponents into the silver-medal position. No further motivation is required.

All the pressure is on the home team here, but I expect Arsenal to show their quality and add a fifth win from six games. That's supported by the stats.

The head-to-head shows that Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 10 meetings with Saturday's opponents, winning nine and drawing the other. The Gunners have a perfect seven-game winning streak over Leeds, and that'll stretch to eight.

Leeds have lost each of their last five visits to Arsenal. To make matters worse, they've conceded four or more goals in four of those five visits.

One final thing worth considering when making your predictions. Arteta carries a 100% league record against Farke, his joint best against any manager in the top tier.

Tip: Arsenal win @ 19/50 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Arsenal beat Leeds United, you'll beat the bookies.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth, Saturday, 15:00 BST

Chelsea vs Bournemouth

Moving to my pick of the 15:00 starts, and we remain in London for Chelsea v Bournemouth.

It hasn't been the start Xabi Alonso and his coaching team had hoped for, with the Blues down in 10th following two wins, a draw, and two defeats. They're winless in three, piling pressure on the locals to collect maximum points heading into a busy period.

If things are bad at Stamford Bridge, they're even worse at Dean Court. Bournemouth return to action level on three points with the relegation zone. The Cherries are without a win, drawing three, and losing the other two.

If the Chelsea fans could've picked any team for a must-win match, it would've been Bournemouth. The Blues are unbeaten in nine games against Saturday's opponents.

Bournemouth's five-game winless start to the season is their worst since 2023, when they also opened with three draws and two defeats. What'll worry manager Marco Rose most is the eight goals conceded, the same as bottom club Tottenham and second-from-bottom Fulham.

With Bournemouth scoring six and conceding eight, and Chelsea scoring 10 and conceding 12, you may wish to bet on both teams to score.

I prefer to keep it simple and back Chelsea in the match-winner market. That'll do a job in your weekend accumulators.

Tip: Chelsea win @ 7/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Chelsea to outscore Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon before a full house.

Man Utd vs Tottenham, Saturday, 17:30 BST

Man Utd vs Tottenham

Saturday evening, and you'll want to settle in early, as Manchester United v Tottenham will catch fire from the opening whistle.

Neither big-name club has exactly set the heather alight so far, with United in 12th and Spurs rock bottom. There's still a lot of football to be played in this campaign, but the winner will breathe life into their season, and the loser will be left licking their wounds.

The Londoners need a win, but they have a dismal record at the Theatre of Dreams. Did you know Spurs have lost 25 times here, the second-worst record of any EPL club on the road, behind Everton's 26 defeats at Arsenal?

Visiting manager Roberto De Zerbi couldn't have feared a worse start to life at Tottenham. Traders at the UK's largest online sportsbooks don't expect it to improve anytime soon, pricing the home win as a 4/6 favourite against Spurs at 7/2.

These teams last met at Old Trafford in February of this year. That game produced a convincing 2-0 win for the locals. I expect a more competitive match this time around, but I'm sticking with a home win.

Tip: Man Utd win @ 4/6 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You want to see Man Utd make home advantage count and beat Tottenham for the second time in 2026.

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest, Sunday, 14:00 BST

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest

The first Super Sunday since 20th September brings a three-match programme, and we open in London, where Crystal Palace take on Nottingham Forest.

The latest head-to-head figures available on the Flashscore app show that the Eagles and Tricky Trees met twice in each of the previous four seasons. During that run, Forest claimed four wins, while the other four meetings ended in draws.

Palace last beat Forest way back in December 2011. That's surprising, but worth keeping in mind when making your predictions.

As my regular readers know, I love the stats and trends, so I couldn't help but notice that each of the last three Palace v Forest fixtures ended in 1-1 draws, as did six of the last 10. I certainly wouldn't put anyone off a small interest on the 1-1 correct score at 11/2 (bet365).

Focusing on games at Selhurst Park, each of the last five has ended in a draw, with four 1-1 correct scores. Before the break, Crystal Palace lost 3-2 at home to Ipswich, and Forest won 2-1 at Villa Park on their most recent road trip.

Tip: 1-1 correct score @ 11/2 (bet365)

Bet explanation: The final score must be Crystal Palace 1-1 Nottingham Forest.

Hull City v Everton, Sunday, 14:00 BST

Hull City v Everton

Also kicking off at 14:00 on Sunday is Hull City vs Everton at the MKM Stadium, a match you can follow on TV and legal live streams.

The Tigers made an overdue return to the Premier League by winning the playoffs last term; that was despite finishing sixth in the Championship. They've settled back into life in the top tier surprisingly well, and open the weekend in eighth place.

Sergej Jakirovic's men exploded out of the traps, taking six points from their opening two games. They also went unbeaten in four, drawing their next two games. Despite that impressive opening period, Hull entered the international break with a 2-1 defeat at St James' Park.

Life is good at Everton under David Moyes, and the club is back contesting the prize places. Two wins and three draws mean the Toffees are one of only five teams yet to taste defeat. The visitors beat Crystal Palace 2-0, before drawing with Bournemouth, Man Utd, and Tottenham. They then entered the break with a 1-0 home win over Ipswich Town.

The stat that caught my eye was that Hull are the only team in the EPL that hasn't conceded a goal at home. In Everton's away matches, they drew 1-1 at Bournemouth and 0-0 at Tottenham.

It's also worth keeping in mind that Everton have won just two of their last 15 Premier League away games against newly promoted teams, drawing eight and losing five. You can trace that run back to the summer of 2021.

With Everton winless in their last seven Premier League away games, I gave careful consideration to backing Hull or draw on the double chance market at bet365, but I've found a better angle.

Under 3.5 goals was a winning bet in each of Hull's two home matches since their EPL return. The same bet landed in four of their five starts this season, with the exception of a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Under 3.5 goals was a winner in each of Everton's two away games. It was also a smart move in four of five league games. The Toffees drew 2-2 at home with Manchester United in the spare result.

Follow the numbers and back Hull v Everton to produce fewer than four goals scored by both teams combined.

Tip: Under 3.5 goals @ 2/7 (bet365)

Bet explanation: The winning team isn't important with this bet. You need Hull and Everton to score fewer than four goals combined.

Liverpool vs Man City, Sunday, 16:30 BST

Liverpool vs Man City
Liverpool vs Man CityFlashscore

The Premier League fixture list saves the best for last, with Liverpool hosting Manchester City at Anfield. A capacity crowd will be boosted by millions across Planet Football watching on TV and official streams.

Which of these big-name teams will bolster their title chances with a crucial win? When I dove into the numbers, I made some interesting discoveries.

Manchester City failed to win the league last season, with Arsenal coming out on top, but they did beat Liverpool home and away. Those results, a 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium and a 2-1 at this iconic venue, mean the Cityzens have tasted defeat once in their last three visits. Another victory for the team currently on top of the division would be a real signal of intent.

Enzo Maresca is only in the door, but he has led his team to five wins and 15 points, scoring 13 goals and conceding five. That makes them the second-highest scorers behind Brighton, with 16 goals. The experienced Italian also has a shot at making history.

Man City aim for back-to-back league wins over Liverpool at Anfield for the first time since 1953. That's incredible, but there's more.

Maresca could become only the fourth manager to win his first six Premier League games. Doing so would put him in elite company, alongside Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea, Pep Guardiola at Man City, and Ole Gunnar Solskjær at Manchester United.

Returning to the here and now, two of Liverpool's five games have been at Anfield, with both ending level. The Reds, now guided by Andoni Iraola, drew 2-2 when Nottingham Forest were in town, and 0-0 when hosting Fulham.

The Liverpool fans understand the importance of patience with a new manager, but they won't be happy with no wins in three. The team's success this season will depend on making Anfield a fortress.

Pace-setters Man City have played at Selhurst Park and Old Trafford, thrashing Crystal Palace 4-1 at the end of August, before edging the Manchester Derby 1-0 last month. You may remember that Erling Haaland scored the goal that mattered at Old Trafford.

Man City haven't put a foot wrong so far and have settled into life under their new manager better than Liverpool have. That encourages me to back the away win.

Tip: Man City or draw @ 1/2 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You have a two-in-three chance of beating the bookies and making a profit with this bet. Either an away win or a draw will boost your betting balance.
