23:19 GMT - That's all from us this evening, thanks for joining us for the first fixtures of 2026! We'll be back with more live Premier League action on Saturday, starting with Aston Villa's match against Nottingham Forest.
23:10 GMT - Pep Guardiola conceded that while the Stadium of Light is a "tough place to come", he was left frustrated by his team's lack of clinical finishing this evening.
"The amount of chances we missed in the six-yard box, not difficult ones, (but) we could not convert," he said.
"We didn't do what we talked about in the first half, but in general it was a really good game."
22:52 GMT - In case you're interested in what's happening in the league below the Premier League, here's a round-up of the results from the Championship.
22:41 GMT - A big part of Sunderland's draw this evening - which leaves them seventh in the Premier League - was their vociferous home support. Defender Trai Hume had this to say about it...
"I think every time we play at our home, the fans are incredible," he told Sky Sports.
"They're our 12th man, and I think you can see that from our performances and how our home record is this season. They always push us.
"We make it tough for opposition teams coming here, so we need to keep it that way."
22:27 GMT - The big winners of the round are Arsenal, but even Aston Villa - who were dismantled by Mikel Arteta's side - won't be too glum this evening as all but one of the nine teams directly below them drew their fixtures. The loss may have dented their title hopes but they are in strong possession of a top-three spot at the halfway point of the season.
22:21 GMT - All four of today's Premier League games ended in draws, with only the game between Crystal Palace and Fulham offering up some goals. Still, let's relive them all with some highlights.
Crystal Palace 1-1 Fulham
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Brentford 0-0 Tottenham
Sunderland 0-0 Man City
22:12 GMT - We have officially reached the halfway stage of the Premier League season, and here's how the table looks with 19 rounds remaining.

21:56 GMT - It's all over at the Stadium of Light, where heroic swarming defence has ensured Sunderland have drawn 0-0 with Manchester City. Here's our report of the game.

21:53 GMT - There's the final whistle at the Gtech. Thomas Frank's return to the Gtech has ended in a 0-0 draw between Tottenham and Brentford. Click here to read our report.

21:36 GMT - Famous last words but we're looking more and more likely to get an opener at the Stadium of Light. The game is opening up now.
21:22 GMT - We saw Leeds frustrate Liverpool earlier today, and now Sunderland are doing the same against Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side has lacked rhythm and that's purely down to the home side's tactics.
21:06 GMT - We are back under way in both of the games. Can any of the four teams find a goal?!
20:50 GMT - There's the referee's whistle to signal half-time at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland have frustrated Manchester City with impressive composure, keeping their stars quiet with resolute defence.

20:47 GMT - We have reached the halfway mark at the Gtech Community Stadium, where Brentford are looking the better side in what is currently a goalless game.

20:07 GMT - Brentford and City have both had early goals ruled out for offside.
20:01 GMT - And we're off in Sunderland and London!
19:56 GMT - We are nearing kick-off at the Stadium of Light.
19:49 GMT - Some pre-match words from Thomas Frank, who is making his return to the Gtech Community Stadium for the first time as Spurs boss.
19:29 GMT - It's all over at Selhurst Park, where Crystal Palace and Fulham have drawn 1-1. Here's our report from the game.

19:26 GMT - There's the final whistle at Anfield, where Liverpool have been held to a goalless draw by Leeds United. Click here for our full match report.

The home side certainly had their chances, and will be frustrated they have allowed two points to slip in their opening fixture of 2026. For Leeds, it's a precious point that puts seven points between them and the relegation zone.

19:11 GMT - GOAL! Tom Cairney has pulled Fulham level with Crystal Palace with a superb curling strike!
19:09 GMT - Substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin has the ball in the back of the net but it's been ruled out due to offside. Big let-off for Liverpool there.
18:59 GMT - A reminder that there are two other games this evening, and here's how the four teams will line up for their respective 8pm kick-offs.

18:36 GMT - The second half has kicked off at Selhurst Park.
18:33 GMT - We are back under way at Anfield.
18:21 GMT - There's the half-time whistle in south London, where Crystal Palace lead Fulham 1-0 thanks to Jean-Philippe Mateta's header.

18:18 GMT - The referee has blown his whistle at Anfield, where it remains goalless at half-time. Leeds the slightly more pleased side given it's 0-0 but they will know there's still a long way to go.

18:10 GMT - GOAL! Jean-Philippe Mateta has put Crystal Palace ahead at Selhurst Park! He got on the end of an inviting cross from Nathaniel Clyne to head home the opener. That's his eighth Premier League goal this season but his first since the end of November.
18:07 GMT - Hugo Ekitike has just missed out on a goal from right in front. Only he will know how he managed to miss that!
17:56 GMT - We've just had the first shot on goal in the 24th minute of what has been a pretty underwhelming game at Selhurst Park. Only Wolves' game against Brentford last month has had a longer wait for the first shot in a Premier League game this season - spectators that day were forced to wait until the 32nd minute.
17:31 GMT - And we're off at Selhurst Park and Anfield!
17:20 GMT - We're about ten minutes away from kick-off in our two early fixtures, where Fulham visit a Crystal Palace team desperate for a win, while Leeds travel to Liverpool who know that victory would close the gap to Aston Villa following their loss to Arsenal.
16:53 GMT - Can Palace bounce back?
16:34 GMT - Here's how things will look at kick-off at Selhurst Palace.

16:31 GMT - Crystal Palace are unchanged from the team that lost to Spurs in their last fixture:
While Fulham have made just the solitary change as Antonee Robinson comes in for Raul Jimenez.
16:28 GMT - Here's how the two teams will line up at Anfield.

16:24 GMT - Liverpool, meanwhile, have Dominik Szoboszlai back from suspension as Arne Slot makes three changes to the side that beat Wolves last time out.
16:21 GMT - Team news has dropped for Leeds' trip to Anfield and a few eyebrows have been raised after seeing Dominic Calvert-Lewin named on the bench.
15:44 GMT - A crisp day awaits at Anfield!
15:33 GMT - Here's a reminder of things have shaped up in this round of fixtures.
