The Chelsea boss has spoken about Estevao, who remains separated from the squad because of a personal issue.

The Brazil starlet, who has been in excellent form for the Blues, is on compassionate leave in Brazil and is a doubt to face Arsenal on Tuesday in the EFL Cup semi-final.

He has been replaced in the starting line-up by fellow youngster Jamie Gittens, and fans are worried that the youngster may be facing something difficult back home.

When asked about the teenager ahead of Tuesday’s clash, Rosenior said there is no pressure for Estevao to return as he gives him time to deal with his personal issues.

“I don't know yet. He is a young kid who has come and been magnificent.

“He is going through a really difficult time for personal reasons and is on compassionate leave.”

“I won't put any pressure on him. It has to be right for him, and he has to feel in the right place to perform for this team.”

He became the second-youngest Blues player to score and assist in a Premier League match in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace last Sunday as he continues to prove his worth in West London.

The 18-year-old started in Chelsea’s 3-2 win away to Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but will not face the Gunners this week as he looks towards the weekend clash against bottom-of-the-league Wolves

Estevao was one of Chelsea’s brightest players against Arsenal in the first leg and will be sorely missed as Rosenior tracks down his first piece of silverware.
