While the Clarets go to Anfield without a win in 12 games, Slot expects to face a determined and defensive opposition.
He said: "Burnley away was a game we had multiple chances but they made it really hard that day. So yeah, we will be ready, looking forward to it, another home game where we want to show what we can do from all the ball possession. We have worked a lot on that and I am waiting on the moment it really clicks.
"A lot of chances hopefully, but the moment we generate more chances, we have to be a bit more open and in a certain period this season we have conceded a lot of counters, so we have to create the ideal balance to create more and not concede many."
On Liverpool's form, with his team now 11 games unbeaten, Slot admits he'd have liked more points.
He also said this morning: "Ideally it's not 11 unbeaten, it's 11 won. That is what we aim for, Villa won a lot in a row but from where we were at PSV to now, a much better place but room for improvement but there is always room for improvement, even last year when we were top of the Champions League and Premier League."
Slot also considered whether they're on track to finish as a Champions League qualifier. Liverpool currently sit in fourth place.
He said: "It's a challenge because it is the Premier League and we are not in the most ideal position, especially when you compare after six games but we compete with these teams now for fourth. So still a lot to play for in the league, we know how important it is for this club to qualify for Champions League.
"It didn't happen a few years ago and that had a big financial impact on this club. We are also aware of the fact the league is stronger than ever, that is what we have to do well in the league with FA Cup and Champions League to fight for."
Boring?
Slot again addressed complaints about Liverpool's style over this unbeaten run. Many pundits say Liverpool have sacrificed style for pragmatism.
The Dutchman said: "The last 11 games, we have hardly conceded chances, but in the period before that we created lots but conceded more chances. And they were more open games where maybe people look back and want those now but the results weren't as we wanted them to be.
"We have to find that balance and we will, the players are growing, they find belief and getting fitter. We are waiting for a moment when we can kickstart our season even more than we have."
Salah return
Meanwhile, Slot insists he'll be happy to welcome Mohamed Salah back from Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations campaign next week. Salah will return to Merseyside after Egypt's third-place playoff against Nigeria.
The Reds great left under a cloud after his outburst against management and Slot, though the Dutchman did insist everything had been smoothed over before Salah's departure.
Slot also said today: "First of all, he plays a big game for Egypt on Saturday and then he comes back, I am happy he comes back. Mo has been so important for this club and me, so I am happy he is back and even if I had 15 attackers, I would be happy to see Mo back but that is not our situation. Happy to have him back after an important game tomorrow.
"What happens with Mo and me stays with us two. I don't share the details of the private conversations I have."
Revisiting their FA Cup win against Barnsley, Slot also confirmed speaking with Dominik Szoboszlai after his defensive blunder which drew accusations of insulting the opposition in the aftermath.
"I spoke with Dom, it's all sorted. Not his best thing he has done but he also had some good moments as well, scored a great goal an unbeliveable cross for (Florian) Wirtz but that moment (mistake) wasn't his best.
Robertson honesty
Slot also commented on Andrew Robertson's admission this week that this could be his last season with Liverpool. The veteran left-back conceded he was likely to leave over concerns about his chances of regular football in the future.
"I think I had to give him a big compliment over what he said, very mature and I understood everything he said," stated Slot.
"Every player should have the same feeling who doesn't start every game but I am really happy to hear he finds joy in his current position and he understands how important he is and has been for this club.
"He hasn't played as much as he would have hoped but what he said in the media was a big compliment."
January decisions
Slot, before concluding, did offer an update on Liverpool's market plans. The Reds have been active, though only regarding the academy and U21 teams so far.
While it's been slow-going on the senior front, Slot insists he and the club's top brass are on the same page.
He said: "Everyone is aligned about the challenges we face, not to say we are going to act but no-one has a different opinion on it. That is not to say we are going to act but we are all aligned."
