Tottenham are reportedly ready to submit an improved offer for Como wonderkid Nico Paz after missing out on Eberechi Eze to arch-rivals Arsenal.

Thomas Frank’s side are still looking to sign a new number ten this summer with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski both set for extended spells on the sideline.

Spurs had identified Morgan Gibbs-White before he opted to stay with Nottingham Forest, then moving on to Eze, who joined North London rivals Arsenal.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, they have since turned their attention to highly regarded Como playmaker Paz, 20.

It’s understood that Spurs had a €40 million (£30.4 million) bid for the Argentinian rejected, but they have now sent an improved offer over €50 million (£43 million).

Como are reluctant to sell the young star and are holding out for a fee of €70 million (£60 million), as it also remains to be seen whether the player is open to the move.
