Welcome to another exciting round of fixtures from the English Premier League. The opening day of February brings four matches, with the action coming from Villa Park, Old Trafford, and the City Ground. Pick of the bunch sees Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester City in the UK capital. Will the locals end a painful five-match winless run in the top tier?

Spurs are in trouble, with the club sinking to 14th in the pecking order. A dismal run of results means the pressure is building on manager Thomas Frank. A large section of the club's supporters believe the Dane's time is up, while others plead for patience. Can the home players deliver a win on Sunday and secure their manager some breathing space?

Both teams to score - yes

Our first Tottenham v Man City bet is on both teams to score. Regular followers of my articles know I'm a huge fan of BTTS, as it lets you cheer every attack. Your bet is live from kick-off until the final whistle, and can be settled for a profit early. A 3-1 home win is just as useful as a 1-1 draw or a 5-1 victory for the visitors. Bet as a single or add to your accas.

Looking at Tottenham's form this season, we see they have already scored 33 goals and conceded 31. On closer inspection, we note that Spurs have scored more than several high-ranking teams, including Fulham, Newcastle, Sunderland and Everton. Their problems lie in defence, with Spurs conceding more than Crystal Palace, down in 15th position.

Man City have performed much better than their hosts so far. Pep Guardiola's team start in second place, with their season stats showing 14 wins, four draws and five defeats. They may be Arsenal's main challenger for the title, but City have won only one of their last five. They are the highest scorers in the EPL to date, and I expect them to add to their tally here.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 8/13 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need both Spurs and Man City to score at least one goal each.

Match winner - Man City

Moving to our second pick in London, and we're taking sides when backing Man City in the match-winner market. That's a risk, given their recent form, but City did win last time out, and I rate their chances against an out-of-form opponent that's down on their luck. Again, the final score isn't important to this bet. If Man City beat Tottenham, you beat the bookies.

We last saw the visitors in league action when they scored a 14th win of the season to move within four points of leaders Arsenal. Pep's stars did as expected when beating EPL bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Marmoush scored the opening goal inside six minutes, before Semenyo doubled that advantage just before the interval. They built on that with a 2-0 home win over Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The head-to-head stats show Man City won 1-0 when last visiting Tottenham almost exactly a year ago. Haaland got the goal that mattered that day when finding the net inside 12 minutes. Fans thought it was the first of many, but it proved enough to secure a win and all three points. The odds available on Man City make them a strong addition to accas.

Tip: Man City win @ 13/20 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Man City must leave London with all three points, regardless of the score.

Match winner and BTTS - Man City and yes

We save the biggest price selection for last. Having advised separate bets on both teams to score and Man City to win, we combine the two. Keep your stakes low and take a chance on Man City winning and both teams finding the net. You need the visitors to take the points back to the Etihad, but Spurs must score one or more goals in defeat to earn us a profit.

Tottenham are winless in their last five Premier League games, losing two and drawing the other three. Thomas Frank's team scored two goals but managed only a point at Turf Moor last weekend. They lost 2-1 in their previous home league match, beaten by a West Ham side facing the threat of relegation. It was the same outcome when welcoming Aston Villa.

Tottenham are more than capable of scoring, especially when playing at home in the EPL. Their problems lie in stopping opponents from hitting the net. In their six domestic games played this month, Spurs conceded ten goals. Things appear to be getting worse, too. They began the month with a goalless draw at Brentford, but conceded six goals in their last three.

Tip: Man City win and BTTS @ 21/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: Man City must win on the road, but we need Tottenham to score.

Tottenham v Man City

Tottenham win @ 7/2 (bet365)

Draw @ 16/5 (bet365)

Man City win @ 13/20 (bet365)
