Defender: Alex Moreno vs Ipswich (H) - 4.6 points

Arsenal carry the highest clean sheet hopes of Gameweek 13 for their trip to West Ham, but at 4.3 predicted points, it’s not enough for Gabriel to top the rankings in this game. Instead, we look to Nottingham Forest and defender Alex Moreno.

Nottingham Forest have kept four clean sheets this season, conceding just 13 goals in this time, with only Liverpool and Arsenal conceding fewer. Forest have the best record for big chances on goal conceded, only allowing 16 attempts on their goal this season.

Full-back Alex Moreno has started nine consecutive games for the side, registering an assist in the 3-0 win against West Ham back in Gameweek 10. He’s created four chances for his teammates, including two classified as big chance creations.

A home game against Ipswich carries good clean-sheet potential, especially with shut-outs in the recent home games against Crystal Palace and West Ham. Ipswich did manage to cause an upset in their last away game though, beating Spurs 2-1.

Midfielder: Mohamed Salah vs Manchester City (H) - 7.5 points

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah continues to excel in his rich vein of form and he’s not hindered by the fixture this week, with the visit of champions Manchester City to Anfield. Salah has scored in five consecutive games, producing four double-digit hauls.

His consistency this season is ridiculous, with 16 goal involvements in 12 games, averaging an impressive ten points per game. It’s the best start to an FPL season in history, with Salah well on track to break his previous best campaign of 303 points back in his first season with Liverpool in 2017/18.

Salah’s underlying numbers remain incredibly high, showcasing that his form can be sustainable. He sits top among midfielders over the last four Gameweeks for shots (16), big chances (8) and expected goals. He has plenty of routes to points given that he’s also on spot-kicks.

It’s a good time for Liverpool to host Manchester City, who come into this match on a three-game losing streak in the Premier League. They’ve conceded seven goals in this period. In home games against City, Salah has five goals and two assists in the last seven seasons.

Forward: Chris Wood vs Ipswich (H) - 6.7 points

Erling Haaland has been an ever-present as the best forward pick according to the AI rankings so far this season, but that run now appears to be over. Poor form combined with a challenging fixture sees him second to Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood.

Chris Wood has one of the most attractive fixtures of the weekend at home to Ipswich Town, which sees Nottingham Forest dominate the best player picks in both the defender and forward positions. Ipswich have just one clean sheet this season, conceding ten goals in their last four on the road.

Wood has blanked in consecutive games, but still has eight goals for the campaign and has the ability to add to that tally in this game. He is now first choice on penalties, while he’s also had 11 big chances on goal, averaging almost one big opportunity per game.

Managers shouldn’t be concerned about him being benched for the game against Arsenal last time out. He covered a lot of miles in the international break with the New Zealand national team and he’s expected to be back in the starting eleven for this one.

Hidden Gem: Yoane Wissa vs Leicester (H) - 5.9 points

Brentford also have an attractive fixture this weekend as Leicester City visit the Brentford Community Stadium, with 8.5% owned striker Yoane Wissa a tempting option. The Foxes have parted company with their manager Steve Cooper this week and have yet to find a replacement.

Wissa has been consistent in the Premier League this season, registering eight goal involvements from eight league starts. He has recent form too, with three goals and one assist in the last four Gameweeks, with all of those returns coming on home turf.

It’s important to note that Brentford have the best home record of any Premier League side this campaign when it comes to goalscoring. They’ve produced a leading tally of 18 home goals this season and also lead the way for big chances on goal, with 27.
