Newcastle United’s striker hunt has hit yet another roadblock as Brentford forward Yoane Wissa has officially ended his training strike and rejoined first-team preparations.
Several reports had previously suggested that Wissa, 28, would refuse to return to Brentford in a bid to push through a move to Newcastle.
Eddie Howe’s side have been heavily linked with a move for the striker but have been put off by Brentford’s £40 million asking price.
Brentford have since shared images of Wissa training hard with his teammates on social media ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Newcastle have since turned their attention to RB Leipzig wonderkid Benjamin Sesko but face stiff competition from Man United for his signature.
