Rangers have reportedly made a move to bring Hearts manager Derek McInnes to the club with Danny Rohl expected to join RB Salzburg.

Rohl, 37, joined Rangers following the disastrous four-month tenure of Russel Martin, transforming them into Premiership title challengers.

Ther German is now expected to leave Ibrox in favour of a move to RB Salzburg, with a deal between the two parties close to being finalised.

According to the Fabrizio Romano, Rangers are wasting no time in appointing Rohl’s successor and have agreed a deal to bring McInnes to the club.

The 54-year-old was one game away from pulling arguably the biggest upset in Scottish football, but a final day defeat to Celtic killed off Hearts’ title ambitions.
