The Portuguese international scored a hat-trick for Al-Nassr in their 4-0 friendly victory over Rio Ave on Thursday night as he continues to prove that age is just a number at 40 years old.
Ronaldo made his way to the Middle East early in 2023 following his departure from Manchester United.
Felix made the right choice this summer
Since then, he has attracted the likes of Karim Benzema, Neymar, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Ivan Toney, Jhon Duran and several other top names to the league, which he has now defended as competitive when pundits asked whether Joao Felix made the right decision to join Al-Nassr this summer.
"Everyone knows Joao; he's very talented. I think he'll help us a lot in the Saudi league, which is very competitive.
"You don't know him; you're not there, you don't show up, but we saw him at the Club World Cup.
"I think it was a better option for Felix than playing in the Portuguese league; just look at the number of stars there are in Saudi Arabia.
"Regardless of not playing in the Champions League, it was a very wise decision on his part.
"Calling him to convince him? I don't do that, I don't pick up the phone. It's not my job. You (journalists) said that, but my job is to train and play."
Big money is on offer to those competing in the Saudi Pro League, and after Ronaldo signed a new two-year contract, it is evident that more and more players will follow his lead in making their way to the league.
Ronaldo is like a magnet for top players
New Al-Nassr coach Jesus spoke after the win over Rio Ave about how Ronaldo is a major factor in players deciding to join the Saudi Pro League, which continue to grow at a rapid rate.
"He's a phenomenon. You saw that this stadium was packed because of him. If he weren't here, no one would be here. He's a devil not only here, but also abroad; it's something I didn't realise what he means to the youth. And then he continues in the game. He doesn't need many opportunities to score. If he touches the ball three times, close to the goal, he scores two. Today, he scored three."
