Bitter rivals Rangers and Celtic go head-to-head at Ibrox Park in Glasgow on Sunday. Lovers of Scottish football have enjoyed four Old Firm derbies already this term, producing an aggregate score of Rangers 6-6 Celtic.

With the neighbours now battling for a spot in the semi-finals at Hampden, another intense encounter is guaranteed. Which side will progress?

The previous meetings this season have been close, with each team claiming a 3-1 win and the other two ending in draws.

There's more between the clubs in the FA Cup H2H, with Celtic entering on 27 wins, against 18 for Rangers, and 10 draws. The stadium will be packed to capacity, boosted by a global TV audience. The scene is set for another classic.

Match winner - Rangers

We set our stall out early here, picking Rangers in the match winner market. The odds are better than I expected, and I suggest grabbing the value. You can back Rangers as a single or add them to your cup weekend accumulators. Rangers have home advantage, endured a clear week to prepare, and have a point to prove after letting a lead slip last week.

The first Old Firm derby of the season ended goalless at Ibrox. Both managers, Russell Martin and Brendan Rodgers, have since moved on. The teams ended 1-1 at Hampden in the League Cup, before Celtic won 3-1 in extra time. Rangers claimed their first derby win of the campaign, smashing Celtic 3-1 at Parkhead. They then raced into a solid lead last time.

Rangers went into the break seven days ago with a stunning 2-0 cushion. It could've been more, and fans expected their side to pull further clear in the second period. Instead, Celtic regrouped and fought back to secure a share of the spoils. The Hoops worked a good goal to get to 2-1, before scoring a penalty at the third attempt with 91 minutes on the clock.

Tip: Rangers win @ 11/10 (bet365)

Bet explanation: If Rangers beat Celtic, you'll beat the bookies.

Total goals - over 2.5

We're betting on Sunday's match to produce three or more goals from both teams combined. Here, you're concerned by the number of goals scored, rather than the result. A 3-0 home win pays the same as a 3-0 away win or a 2-2 draw. As soon as the score reaches three goals, the profits will appear in your betting balance. It allows you to enjoy the show.

Rangers and Celtic have served up some high-scoring games recently. In the previous 10 Old Firm derbies in the Premiership, over 2.5 goals landed seven times. That's worth paying attention to. Let's now look at league games played at Ibrox. Backers of three or more goals celebrated a return in seven of ten, including three of the last five. We follow that trend.

Let's now check in on how both the Gers and Hoops have performed in recent Premiership outings. Rangers beat Kilmarnock 5-1 and Hearts 4-2 at Ibrox in February, before sharing four goals with Sunday's opponents last week. Celtic played only once on the road last month, beating Kilmarnock 3-2 at Rugby Park with a winner in the 97th minute of play.

Tip: Over 2.5 goals @ 4/7 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You'll secure a profit if Rangers vs Celtic produces more than two goals.

Anytime scorer - Fernandez

Our third and final pick in Glasgow on Sunday is for Emmanuel Fernandez to score at a fantastic price. The towering defender had a few near misses in last weekend's league encounter, but I expect him to go one better in the cup. He's a serious danger from corners, and Scottish football fans already know Celtic have big problems defending set pieces.

The arrival of Fernandez from English League One side Peterborough in the summer for a hefty fee raised eyebrows in Govan. The 24-year-old Londoner endured a shaky start under Martin, but has become an important player under Danny Rohl. Fernandez has built a relationship with fellow defender John Souttar, and also pulls his weight in attack.

The 2025/26 stats show Fernandez has scored six goals this term, including a thumping volley at Livingston late last month. He also got on the scoresheet at Ibrox versus Aberdeen, St Mirren, Hibs, and Alloa Athletic in the League Cup. The 6' 4" Englishman is fast becoming a fans' favourite, and a derby goal would speed things along. Take the attractive odds.

Tip: Fernandez to score @ 5/1 (bet365)

Bet explanation: You need Emmanuel Fernandez to score against Celtic on Sunday.
