The Scotland international has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League due to his fine form, but Napoli are hoping to tie him down.
According to Corriere dello Sport, a key meeting took place in Italy between the club’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, and the player’s agent, Colin Murdoch.
McTominay’s current deal with the club is set to expire in 2028, and Napoli want to extend that a further two years.
