Barcelona and Real Madrid have reached the final of the Spanish Super Cup, setting up a Clásico for the fourth consecutive season. In recent years, victories have alternated between the two giants, with the finals producing some spectacular matches and emphatic wins for the champions.

This seems the most obvious prediction. Barça’s league matches average the most goals (3.8 per game), with Madrid second (3.1 per game), and they are also the two top-scoring teams in the competition (53 for Barça, 41 for Madrid).
The last ten meetings between them have all produced at least three goals, and in eight of those, both teams found the net. The same has happened in the three Super Cup finals these sides have played over the past three years. In fact, we’re giving two predictions here: that there will be over 2.5 goals and that both teams will score.
Both are strong picks individually, but combining them is more lucrative and just as realistic. Still, it might be wise to keep them separate, as Barcelona come into this after their longest run of clean sheets this season, with five consecutive matches without conceding.

Given the limited markets available, we’ve gone for a riskier option that could pay off handsomely. It’s worth noting that in three of the last four Clásicos, both teams scored before the break.
Barça have scored in the first half in two of their last three matches, including four goals in the semi-final against Athletic. Madrid, meanwhile, have scored in the first half in each of their last five games.

We continue to explore the possibilities in a match like this and have found another excellent prediction based on the number of goals we expect.
Fifteen of the last eighteen Clásicos in all competitions have produced more than two but fewer than seven goals, so we think this range offers a great opportunity, especially as five of Xabi Alonso’s last six matches have also fallen within these numbers.
