Isak started Sweden's opening Nations League fixture and scored their first goal in a 2-1 win for Sweden against Romania.
The Liverpool striker played the full 90 minutes but will now miss the matches against Poland, Bosnia and Romania due to a physical problem.
"Alexander Isak will return from international duty due to a minor injury. The striker will not take part in Sweden's remaining three matches and will now be assessed by the club's medical team at the AXA Training Centre," Liverpool said in an official statement.
Liverpool are due to face Manchester City at Anfield on October 11th when the Premier League returns.
