Colombia and Portugal battle for top spot in Group KFlashscore

Colombia and Portugal face off to decide top spot in Group K of the 2026 World Cup, in a match where a draw is enough for the Colombians, while the Portuguese side must win to avoid stronger opponents in the knockout stage.

After drawing with DR Congo, Portugal secured their first win in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup with a 5-0 thrashing of Uzbekistan, where Cristiano Ronaldo stood out by scoring twice.

Colombia already have two wins and lead Group K in this FIFA World Cup. Therefore, a draw will be enough for the team featuring Luis Suárez and Richard Ríos to secure top spot in the group.

Portugal favourites in a potentially tricky match

Portugal go into this final Group K match as favourites, but will face a Colombia side who have won their first two games and come into this fixture highly motivated.

For the Portuguese side, only a win will do to finish this stage top of the group, while the Cafeteros only need a draw to maintain their current lead.

I therefore expect a match where Portugal will take the initiative for much of the game. However, Colombia are unlikely to give up on attacking and could cause problems with quick transitions and the quality of their attacking players.

Tip: Portugal or draw and over 1.5 goals - 4/7 @ bet365

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Portugal do not lose the match, and there are at least two goals in total.

Two attacking-minded teams

Portugal and Colombia are both teams with a clear attacking mindset and have squads packed with high-quality forwards and wingers.

In their last match, the 5-0 win over Uzbekistan, Portugal had 17 shots, nine of them on target. Colombia, meanwhile, although they only beat DR Congo by a single goal (1-0), managed 20 shots, nine of which were on target.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s match, I expect a lively and competitive encounter throughout both halves, between two teams who will be looking to score at any moment. Therefore, I see a strong chance of at least one goal in each half, making this a valuable bet.

Tip: Goal scored in both halves: YES - 7/10 @ bet365

Bet explanation: If there is at least one goal in each half, regardless of which team scores, you win this bet.

Bruno Fernandes to score

My final prediction focuses on the goalscorer market, one of the most popular types of bets and one that often offers very attractive odds.

Bruno Fernandes has stood out for breaking the assist record in the Premier League this season, but he is also a player with a great eye for goal. In fact, in previous seasons, both for Manchester United and Sporting CP, Bruno Fernandes has often scored more goals than he has assisted.

For the national team, Bruno Fernandes has yet to score at this World Cup, with his last goal for Portugal coming in the warm-up match against Chile, played on 6 June.

The match against Colombia could be the perfect opportunity for Bruno Fernandes to get back on the scoresheet. Defensive attention will naturally be more focused on Cristiano Ronaldo, which could open up space for midfielders with good long-range shooting and the ability to get into scoring positions. In this context, Bruno Fernandes could become one of Portugal’s main attacking weapons.

Tip: Bruno Fernandes to score - 11/4 @ bet365

Bet explanation: If Bruno Fernandes, or the player who replaces him during the match, scores, you win this bet. This bet is void if Bruno Fernandes is not in the starting eleven.
