Neymar is reportedly prioritising a place at next year's World Cup as he moves closer to making a decision on his future.

The 33-year-old returned to boyhood club Santos in January 2025 following a disastrous and injury-plagued spell in Saudi Arabia.

It’s been a rollercoaster since re-joining Santos, but Neymar ended the season with a respectable 11 goals and four assists in his 28 games across all competitions.

Still, his contract at the club is set to expire at the end of the year, and he is yet to make a decision on what comes next.

According to ESPN, the expectation is that Neymar signs for another six months a deal that will keep him at the club until next year’s World Cup.
