With just one point separating the sides at the top of Group C stakes are high, as the winner qualifies automatically for the 2026 World Cup, while the loser faces the nerve-shredding uncertainty of the play-offs.

Scotland looked down and out after losing to Greece last week, but Denmark’s surprise failure to beat Belarus handed Steve Clarke’s men a dramatic lifeline.

Victory in Glasgow would send the Tartan Army to their first World Cup since 1998, and they arrive with nine wins from their last 12 qualifiers.

Back-to-back home victories provide further belief that Hampden could once again be the stage for a famous night.

Denmark, though, still hold the advantage and need only avoid defeat to seal qualification.

Denmark win or draw (Double Chance)

With Denmark needing only a point to book their ticket to the World Cup, this market holds solid value.

Brian Riemer’s team have been formidable in qualifying, losing just one of their last ten internationals and claiming victory in six of their last seven away trips in the World Cup qualifiers.

While Scotland have been strong domestically, their key defeats in this cycle came against higher-ranked opposition and Denmark’s recent H2H dominance (six wins in the last ten meetings) cannot be ignored. With pressure on both sides, backing the visitors to avoid defeat is a logical play.

Tip: Denmark win or draw (Double Chance) @ 3/10

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Denmark avoid defeat against Scotland

Over 1.5 goals

This fixture profiles well for goals. Denmark’s matches have opened up significantly in recent months, with seven of their last eight internationals producing over 2.5 goals.

They attack with width and pace, while seven of their last nine victories have come by margins of 2+ goals.

Scotland, meanwhile, have scored in six of their last nine competitive outings, and four of their last seven matches at Hampden Park have had goals in both halves. With both teams needing a result and carrying offensive threats, two or more goals looks a strong selection.

Tip: Over 1.5 goals @ 33/100

Bet explanation: This bet wins if there are at least two goals in the game

Scotland to score

Scotland’s attacking numbers under Steve Clarke remain impressive, particularly at home. They have scored in nine of their last 12 qualifiers, and Hampden traditionally gives them a lift in front of a feverish crowd.

The emergence of Ben Gannon-Doak, fresh from scoring his first senior international goal adds another dimension, while midfielders such as McTominay and McGinn regularly contribute in big games.

Denmark have conceded in each of their last two qualifiers, and their defensive unit has shown signs of vulnerability, particularly late in games. With Scotland forced to chase victory, they should generate enough chances to find the net at least once.

Tip: Scotland to score @ 11/25

Bet explanation: This bet wins Scotland score at least a goal against Denmark
