Scotland and Greece meet for the third time this year, having split victories in their UEFA Nations League play-off ties earlier in 2025.

Both nations now shift focus to the World Cup Qualifiers, where every point could prove crucial in the battle for the group’s sole automatic qualification spot.

Scotland are still chasing their first World Cup appearance since 1998. Meanwhile Greece, who famously triumphed at Euro 2004, are determined to return to the global stage for the first time in over a decade.

With just a point separating them, and both sides boasting contrasting strengths, this could be another tight, tactical contest under the lights at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Greece win or draw (Double Chance)

Greece have developed an excellent record away from home, winning four straight games on foreign soil by an aggregate of 8-1. That includes their impressive 3-0 Nations League win at Hampden in March.

The Tartan Army, on the other hand, have just one win from their last nine matches in Glasgow (D3, L5).

Greece also boast a solid defensive structure, conceding only once in their last five away trips, so taking them in the double chance market offers excellent value for safety-conscious bettors.

Tip: Greece win or draw (Double Chance) @ 2/5

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Greece avoids defeat against Scotland.

Both teams to score - No

Goals from both ends have been rare whenever these two meet. None of the four all-time meetings between Scotland and Greece have seen both teams score, and that trend is reinforced by their recent form with just two of Scotland’s last nine internationals featuring goals at both ends.

Greece’s games tend to follow a similar pattern, with 20 of their last 26 outings ending with at least one team failing to score.

Combine Scotland’s compact defence (three straight clean sheets) with Greece’s disciplined away approach, and BTTS ‘No’ looks a strong play at 4/5.

Tip: Both teams to score (No) @4/5

Bet explanation: This bet wins if both Scotland and Greece don’t score a goal in the game.

Greece to score

Despite losing 3-0 to Denmark last time out, Greece have scored in five of their last six games, including putting five past Belarus earlier in qualifying.

Their potency on the road stands out even more as they’ve scored at least twice in each of their last five away matches.

With in-form forward Christos Tzolis netting in four of those and Scotland having conceded in six of their last eight games at home, Greece getting on the scoresheet feels like one of the most dependable angles of this matchup.

Tip: Greece to score @ 9/25

Bet explanation: This bet wins if Greece score at least a goal against Scotland.
