The ex-Liverpool star, 32, was available as a free agent after leaving Saudi side Al-Ittihad this summer, and Trabzonspor wasted no time reuniting him with his former teammate.
The club have already shared a video of Fabinho wearing a Trabzonspor shirt as he arrived by private jet.
“A familiar face is waiting for me in Trabzon,” said Fabinho in the social media post, referring to Salah, who joined the side earlier this summer.
Salah has already made an impact in Turkey, scoring a brace in Trabzonspor’s 2-1 win over Basaksehir. The club have started the season unbeaten after their opening two matches.
“Fabinho is coming!” Trabzonspor said in a post confirming the transfer.
Salah was greeted by tens of thousands of supporters when he arrived at the club, with flares lit and fans chanting his name.
The 34-year-old described the reception as 'incredible' and said he could not put the amount of love shown to him into words. Reports estimated that about 25,000 people turned out to welcome him.
Salah and Fabinho, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019, will not be joined by another former teammate, Darwin Nunez. A proposed move to Trabzonspor collapsed earlier this summer, with the Uruguayan striker now set to sign for Diriyah on loan from Al-Hilal.
