One of the jewels of the European Tour, the Scottish Open, takes place this week, with eight of the PGA's top 10 golfers taking part in the premier event.

Some of the world’s best golfers are descending on Scotland as the Scottish Open takes centre stage. Played at the Renaissance Club along the Scottish coastline in North Berwick, many players see this as the perfect PGA tour event to warm up before The Open, which takes place next week.

Eight of the PGA's top 10 are participating this year, including Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas. Scotsman, Robert MacIntyre, will be returning to defend his title and try to take home the winner’s $1.5 million (£1.1m) from the $9 million prize pot.

For those who have not made it to The Open next week, there is also an opportunity to qualify, as there are three places available for the highest-placed players who make the cut and have not qualified.

We have put together all the information you need to follow all the action from the four days at the Renaissance Club.
