The 153rd Open Championship returns to Royal Portrush for the second time in six years as Rory McIlroy has his sights set on winning on home soil.

The final opportunity to be a Major winner in men’s golf is upon us as the 153rd Open Championship takes place from July 17th-20th at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

156 players will be competing for the Claret Jug at Portrush, with last year's champion, Xander Schauffele, hoping to defend his title against a stacked field of the best golfers in the world.

The home favourite is world number two Rory McIlroy, who has a great opportunity to take home his second Major of the year, but world number one Scottie Scheffler also has a great chance of performing that feat instead.

Below, we detail all the information about the location, dates, schedule, and ticket prices for the 153rd Open Championship.

The first two days will include all 156 players in Rounds one and two before the cut. Play will start around 06:30 BST on Thursday with tee-times set to be confirmed on Tuesday, July 15th.
