Chris Eubank Jr is not underestimating his opponent ahead of Saturday's clash but remains confident he'll finish his compatriot within 12 rounds.

Speaking ahead of Saturday night's all-British middleweight clash against Liam Smith, Eubank Jr oozed confidence.

"Fight week is actually fun. All the hard work is done. It's actually a great feeling," he told Sky Sports after the pair's public workout at the Trafford Centre in Manchester on Wednesday evening.

"My predictions never change. I think this is going to be an awesome fight while it lasts, but my prediction is that I go in there and stop this guy," Eubank said.

"You've got to win, that is first and foremost. If you can win and look sexy while you're doing it, then do that."

The Brighton man's father has been notably absent compared to previous media campaigns in the build-up to Saturday's fight, but the similarities between the father and son's confidence levels are clear to see.

Sparring and shadowboxing with a huge grin, Eubank Jr floated around the workout ring clearly enjoying the attention of legions of fans keen to catch a glimpse of the 'love-him-or-hate-him' fighter.

His opponent showed similar levels of comfortability and calmness and was even joined by fellow scouser, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, in the ring for a few football keepie-uppies.

Despite being the bookies' underdog, Smith fully believes he has the ability to topple Eubank Jr.

"Energy levels throughout camp have been a bit different. I haven't had that little demon saying I have to get to 154lbs," Smith said.

"Me winning would be an upset for the people who think I can't do middleweight."

He was also keen to stress his opponent's mind games are having little effect on his preparations for the bout, questioning some of the tactics being utilised.

"I've fought Mexicans in Mexico, Canelo in Texas, Russians in Russia, and he thinks a billboard's going to make a difference to my training camp or my sleep at night?" Smith explained.

"Even the DMs he put out, he's trying to get under my skin. I don't know what for. To make me stand like a sitting duck in front of him? We'll see."
