The Washington Capitals took home the win on Tuesday night in what could be Alex Ovechkin's final game, as the future Hall of Famer will make a retirement decision during the summer.

Capitals 2-1 Blue Jackets

With both the Caps and Blue Jackets eliminated from play-off contention, the boys in red got the win for Ovechkin, who finished the game with an assist on Jakob Chychrun's 26th goal.

Ovechkin ended his 2025-2026 season with exactly 32 goals and 32 assists.

The NHL's all-time leading goal scorer has been mulling over his decision whether to announce his retirement or not, which will come at some point during the summer.

Washington finished the season with a 43-30-9 record, while Columbus finished 40-30-12.

Flyers 4-2 Canadiens

The Flyers ended their season going 7-3 in their last 10 games. Oliver Bonk scored his first career goal in his NHL debut, which put the Flyers up 2-0, which ultimately kept the Habs out of reach.

Philly finished the regular season with a 43-27-12 record, Montreal a 48-24-10, as they both get ready for the play-offs.

Hurricanes 2-1 Islanders

The Canes finished the season with 52 wins for the third time in the past four seasons, thanks to a late third-period goal from Mark Jankowski (11).

New York's Victor Eklund recorded his first NHL point after assisting Bo Horvat on the team's lone goal of the game.

It marked Horvat's 300th of his career and the 31st of the season as the Islanders finished 43-34-5, having lost seven of their final 10 games.

Rookie sensation Matthew Schaefer finished with 23 goals and 36 assists, coming up just one goal short of setting the NHL record for most by a rookie defenceman.

The Canes are set to face the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the Stanley Cup Play-offs.

Bruins 4-0 Devils

Jeremy Swayman earned his second shutout of the year, and the 18th of his career, in the Bruins' final regular-season game.

Boston scored all four of their goals in the first period, with the first coming from Morgan Geekie's 39th, thanks to an assist from David Pastrnak, who eclipsed 100 points for the fourth straight season.

The Bruins finished the year with a 45-27-10 record as they gear up for the Buffalo Sabres in the first round of the play-offs.

As for the Devils, their season officially ended with a 42-37-3 record.

Wild 3-2 Ducks

As both teams have already clinched a play-off birth, the Ducks continue to struggle as they play for seeding in the Pacific Division.

They've now lost eight of their last 10 with one game to go on their schedule.

Meanwhile, the Wild finished the season 46-24-12 as they claimed the No. 3 seed in the West.

Goalie Jesper Wallstedt put up 35 saves for the Wild, while rookie Hunter Haight earned his first career goal.

Avalanche 3-1 Flames

Cale Makar recorded an assist on all three of the Avs' goals in his return to the ice. The defenceman missed time after dealing with an upper-body injury.

His final, and 58th assist on the season, came on Nathan MacKinnon's NHL-leading 53rd goal.

Both the Avs, who claimed the No. 1 seed in the West, and Flames, who have the second-worst record in the league, have one game left on their respective schedules.

Mammoth 5-3 Jets

In what was pretty much a nothing game, the Mammoth sit comfortably in their top Wild Card spot with a win, thanks to two goals from Nick Schmaltz.

He brought his season total up to 32, while Winnipeg stars Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele both assisted on each other's goals.

Both the Mammoth and Jets have one game left on their schedules.

St. Louis Blues 7-5 Pittsburgh Penguins

Vancouver Canucks 4-3 Los Angeles Kings
