The NHL had a fantastic 13-game slate on Saturday, topped off by the New York Islanders keeping their win streak alive with a thrilling OT win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canes got out to a two-goal lead in the first period courtesy of goals from Jack Roslovic (18) and Sebastian Aho (16) but failed to find the net the rest of the way.

Alexander Romanov (1) scored his first goal of the season before veteran Anders Lee (21) tied it up in the third period to send it to overtime where Brock Nelson (15) sent home the game-winner.

New York has now won four straight games, their longest of the season, and have now jumped the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Metropolitan Division. Meanwhile, the win for the Isles ended the Canes' four-game win streak.

Devils 4-3 Canadiens

Jack Hughes (19) scored a breakaway game-winning goal in overtime for the Devils after the Canadiens scored two straight in the third period to send it into overtime. Despite the devastating loss for Montreal, goaltender Jakub Dobes still had himself a night saving 40 of 44 shots from the Devils.

After losing four straight, the Devils have now won back-to-back games. Meanwhile, the Canadiens have now lost two straight and three of their last five games. The two teams will face each other again for another round in Montreal on February 8th.

Flames 5-4 Wild

The Flames held off the Wild after they scored three goals in the third period. Andrei Kuzmenko (4) led the way with two goals en route to Calgary's third straight win and fourth of the last six games. This is also their second win over the Wild this season in both matchups

Meanwhile, Minnesota has now lost back-to-back games and four of their last six as they continue to slide in the Central Division standings. The two teams will face off in their third and final matchup of the season series on April 11th.
