Concern from the 26-year-old is understandable as Fury pulled out of the duo's previously scheduled boxing match last year.
Paul would go on to fight Tyron Woodley instead and then former UFC champion Anderson Silva in a separate bout, winning both.
Speaking in a press conference, promoting the big fight, the social media star said: “Yeah, look, a part of me definitely still doubts (Fury will fight)," as quoted by the Express.
“And it’s scary and it’s annoying. And him not showing up to the face-to-face we were just supposed to do right now (at the press conference), it sucks."
The fight is scheduled to go ahead on February 26th in Saudi Arabia, and it should make for quite the spectacle.
Both fighters' boxing records are impressive, citing no defeats and four knock-out wins each. Fury does seemingly edge it in experience, though, with eight bouts on his record to Paul's six.
As mentioned, doubt around whether or not the Manchester native will pull out again is understandable - but there is a back-up plan already in place.
“We have Mike Perry on standby,” Paul confirmed. “Let’s go Mike Perry! Yeah, he’s ready to jump in, in case Tommy pulls out.”
