Manchester United have agreed a deal that will see Wout Weghorst join the club on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Netherlands striker spent the first part of the 2022/23 campaign with Besiktas - but will now undergo a medical in Manchester, as reported by BBC Sport.

Weghorst scored nine times in 18 matches for the Turkish outfit, on loan from Championship side Burnley.

An accomplished forward, the 30-year-old will arrive at Man Utd with the task of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal legend scored three goals for United this season, before tearing up his contract and joining Saudi side Al Nassr after the World Cup.

Weghorst made headlines in Qatar after scoring two late goals against eventual tournament winners Argentina.
