Northern Ireland's Mark Allen has won snooker's World Grand Prix title after beating Englishman Judd Trump 10-9.

After a stuttering start Allen roared to a 6-2 lead before the break, but his opponent would win six of the eight following frames to make it 8-8.

The Northern Irishman then nudged ahead at 9-8, before Trump levelled the score again at 9-9 ahead of the final frame.

Allen confirmed his status as world No. 3 by taking the 19th and final frame to win the World Grand Prix.

Allen was visibly thrilled after his win and remarked on how nervous he felt after dropping a 7-2 lead shortly after the break.

"He (Trump) had me going there," he told reporters.
