Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili headline the UFC 316 fight card as they do battle again over the UFC men's bantamweight championship.
Revenge is the name of the game in the UFC this weekend as New Jersey hosts UFC 316, headlined by Sean O’Malley’s rematch with Merab Dvalishvili. O’Malley aims to reclaim the UFC men's bantamweight championship he held from August 2023 to September 2024 before dropping the belt to Dvalishvili by unanimous decision.
This will be Dvalishvili’s second title defence since the win, having retained against Umar Nurmagomedov in January of this year. O’Malley, on the other hand, has not been seen since the defeat, plotting his revenge since then and now has his chance.
O’Malley v Dvalisvili 2 is a co-headliner on the night with Julianna Pena’s bout against Kayla Harrison. Pena is putting her women's bantamweight title on the line against Harrison, making up another one of the five fights on the main card of UFC 16.
