Palmeiras’ opponents for CWC 2025
FC Porto - Portugal
Porto are one of the 12 European sides to have qualified for the tournament and earned their place in the Club World Cup via the UEFA ranking pathway. The club have won 30 league titles and 20 Taca de Portugal titles. They have the honour of never being relegated, competing in every season of the Portuguese top flight.
Inter Miami CF - USA
David Beckham’s Inter Miami features some of the biggest names in Barcelona’s recent history with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez all playing for them. They qualified for this tournament by winning the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield - the trophy given to the team with the best overall record during the MLS regular season - taking one of the spots given to the host nation of the tournament.
Al Ahly FC - Egypt
Al Ahly qualified for the Club World Cup as winners of the 2020/21, 2022/23 and 2023/24 CAF Champions Leagues. TV coverage: Where to watch Palmeiras at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup?
All 63 matches from the 2025 Club World Cup will be shown exclusively live on DAZN. Every single game from the tournament will be streamed for free, meaning fans can follow the Club World Cup at no extra cost.
As DAZN holds full broadcasting rights, the London-based entertainment platform can sub-license matches to free-to-air TV channels. Alternatively, Palmeiras fans can watch all of their team's games online or by downloading the DAZN App onto their smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, or game consoles.
Expected lineup: Palmeiras’ squad list for CWC 2025
Palmeiras will be in full swing in the league when the Club World Cup starts, meaning they should hit the ground running with a match-fit team. Teams involved in the Club World Cup have been given special dispensation to conduct their transfer starting on June 1st and ending on June 10th. This means Palmeiras will be able to add to their squad in the middle of their season in anticipation of the Club World Cup
Players whose contact would end during the Club World Cup will be allowed to stay and play for their teams until the tournament's culmination. This applies to one such player for Palmeiras, who will be gracing the Premier League come August. Wonderkid Willian Estevao will trade Sao Paulo for London as he makes his move to Chelsea after the tournament. Palmeiras and Chelsea could meet in the quarterfinals if the cards fall right, which would be interesting for Estevao and his future employers.

Players to Watch
Chelsea snapped up Estevao last summer for an initial £29million fee, which could rise to £55million with add-ons. The 17-year-old will join them from Palmeiras at the end of the Club World Cup, having scored 20 goals and 10 assists so far this season.
The 20-year-old joined Palmeiras from Barcelona in January and is the most expensive purchase in South American football history. Whilst his time in Spain was lacklustre, a lot is expected from Vitor Roque now he is back playing in his homeland when his great form, scoring 12 goals with three assists in 25 league games for Athletico Paranaense, earned him the move to Barcelona.
Raphael Veiga is one of the most important players for Palmeiras. The attacking midfielder was player of the year in the Brazillian League in 2023 and has previously been looked at by many clubs around the world. He is capable of incisive passes and can exploit space well. The Palemiras forward line should do well with Veiga at the base of it.
Winner odds: What are Palmeiras’ chances of winning this year?
Palmeiras are the highest-rated non-European team in the betting odds to win the Club World Cup. They will be hoping to qualify from their group at least, and Paddy Power has them at 22/1 to win the whole thing. The betting company has Real Madrid as favourites at 7/2, followed by Manchester City at 9/2, Bayern Munich at 11/2, and Chelsea at 17/2.
How did Palmeiras qualify for the 2025 tournament?
Palmeiras qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup after they won the Copa Libertadores in 2020 and retained it in 2021 as well. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, both the 2020 and 2021 Copa Libertadores finals were played in 2021.
Palmeiras 2025 Club World Cup kit
Palmeiras have not yet revealed a special kit for the Club World Cup. Since the domestic season only started in March, it would not be surprising to see the team wear the same kit that they are wearing currently.
Have Palmeiras ever won the Club World Cup before?
Palmeiras have competed in the Club World Cup two times previously, once in 2020 and again in 2021. In 2020, they lost both their semi-final against Tigres before losing the third-place playoff against Al Ahly, both by one goal. In 2021, Palmeiras bettered themselves, making it to the final where they were narrowly beaten by Chelsea 2-1. This year will be their third appearance in the tournament and they will attempt to get as far as they can again.
