22:53 BST - That about wraps things up tonight! Thanks for joining us, and do look out for our dedicated Deadline Day Tracker tomorrow for all of the major updates right up until 7pm.

22:45 BST - Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner told BBC Match of the Day: "Congratulations and big credit to the players. Busy start and also short of numbers, many players played every single game. We had to pay the bill today with two muscle injuries, but the players did so excellently."

On Marc Guehi's possible transfer to Liverpool: "I told this to (the) chairman, we have to keep Marc if we want to play a successful season. We have no chance to find the right replacement in one day. We all agreed that we sell Marc if we have the right replacement in the building.

"We wanted a replacement by the 1st July. We have this agreement, so it is clear to me. He is such a crucial player. He is one of our key players - he is our captain. Again, if we want to play a successful season, we have to keep him."

21:49 BST - Speaking to Sky Sports after scoring in his side's win tonight, Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi explained that the club means a lot to him.

"I'm a south London boy, captain of the football club from a young age. They have been fantastic for me and my family, so it's definitely a pleasure to play for this football club.

"I don't like the limelight too much. There are a lot of cameras in my face all the time and constantly talking about me, but I'm lucky that I have a good club and teammates around me."

The centre-half has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool ahead of tomorrow's 7pm transfer deadline.

20:58 BST - FULL-TIME: Aston Villa 0-3 Crystal Palace. The hosts do indeed go into the September break as the only Premier League club yet to score a goal, but a great result on the road for Palace -- with captain Marc Guehi scoring with a wonderful strike from range. Our report is here.

20:49 BST - As it stands, Aston Villa head into the September international break as the only club to have not scored in the Premier League this season.

20:41 BST - GOAL! It's a third for Palace! Marco Bizot is having a tough evening in Villa's goal. Ismaila Sarr, 3-0.

20:29 BST - GOAL! Marc Guehi doubles Palace's lead with a wonderful finish from range! 2-0.

20:17 BST - Adam Wharton has picked up a knock and will be taken off. Jefferson Lerma replaces him for Crystal Palace.

20:07 BST - We are back underway at Villa Park!

19:50 BST - HALF-TIME: Aston Villa 0-1 Crystal Palace. The home side haven't looked their best so far.

19:22 BST - GOAL! Jean-Philippe Mateta makes no mistake from 12 yards. 1-0 to Palace.

19:21 BST - PENALTY! Crystal Palace have been awarded a spot-kick after a foul by Marco Bizot.

19:00 BST - We are underway at Villa Park! Stick with us for all the key updates.

18:46 BST - Liverpool match-winner Dominik Szoboszlai told Sky Sports: "Luckily we could practice some free-kicks. I felt this was a bit further. I was like, 'I'll take the risk'. I was confident in myself.

"When you practice all the time, now I should mention Trent (Alexander-Arnold) because he was taking the free-kicks in the past. Finally I could have my chance and did it."

18:26 BST - FULL-TIME! Dominik Szoboszlai's stunning free-kick is enough to give Liverpool all three points in a cagey tilt against Arsenal at Anfield!

18:17 BST - Dominik Szoboszlai's goal was the first direct free kick scored in this Premier League fixture since Philippe Coutinho in August 2016.

18:10 BST - GOAL! It's a breakthrough at Anfield and it's a wonderful goal for Liverpool! Dominik Szoboszlai lines up a free-kick from around 30 yards out and cracks it superbly off the post and into the net!

Seven minutes plus stoppage time left to play...

17:59 BST - Remember, there's still one more game to look forward to today with Aston Villa hosting Crystal Palace at 19:00. Here are the teams for that:

17:49 BST - NO GOAL! Liverpool scramble the ball into the net but it's quickly chalked off for an offside in the build-up. Replays show Hugo Ekitike was indeed offside prior to the action.

17:41 BST - Arsenal haven't gone on to win any of the last seven Premier League games between themselves and Liverpool that have been 0-0 at half time (D4 L3), last doing so in February 2010 at the Emirates (1-0).

17:32 - BST - No changes from either team at the break and we're back underway – follow the second half here.

17:25 BST - Liverpool have managed just two shots in the first half of each of their last two Premier League matches. It's the first time they've had as few as that in back-to-back first halves since January 2004.

This was the fewest shots Liverpool have attempted in the first half of a Premier League game at Anfield (2) since October 2021 v Man City (1).

17:16 BST - Half-time at Anfield. It hasn't been the barnstormer many would have wanted, but Arsenal have looked the better side heading into the break.

Half-time stats

16:45 BST - William Saliba's fifth-minute substitution was the earliest for an Arsenal starter in a Premier League game since Laurent Koscielny in November 2012 (4th min v Everton).

16:35 BST - Massive worry and a big blow for Arsenal as William Saliba is down and can't continue. He's replaced by Cristhian Mosquera, but it's less than ideal for the Gunners just five minutes into proceedings.

16:30 BST - Here we go! The champions against the runners-up. Arsenal get the ball rolling at Anfield.

16:23 BST - This is the second time this season that Liverpool's starting XI in a Premier League game hasn't featured a single Englishman, as many times as they did in their first 1,266 games in the competition between 1992/93 and 2024/25 (2).

16:15 BST - Our attention switches to Anfield as Liverpool host title rivals Arsenal in what looks to be a very early six-pointer.

Arsenal have got the better of Liverpool of late, unbeaten in the last six Premier League matches between them.

Liverpool are looking for their first league win in games between the two sides since March 2022. The Gunners during that period have outscored the Reds with 13 goals for and 10 against.

15:50 BST - GOAL! Brighton take a late lead against Man City! Brajan Gruda runs in on goal and rounds James Trafford and a host of defenders before rolling into the net. It's his first Brighton goal and they lead 2-1!

15:48 BST - GOAL! West Ham have another! Callum Wilson gets in on the act to extend the Hammers' late lead to 3-0. It's a surge from West Ham but a total collapse from Nottingham Forest.

15:46 BST - GOAL! Amid all the transfer noise, Lucas Paqueta rolls it into the corner to make it 2-0. He celebrates with a tap and kiss of the West Ham badge.

15:43 BST - PENALTY! Now West Ham have a penalty! It's all happening as Crycensio Summerville is brought down in the area, giving the Hammers a golden opportunity to potentially seal the game.

15:41 BST - GOAL! West Ham take a late lead at Nottingham Forest and it's through their talisman Jarrod Bowen, who finds the corner brilliantly in the 84th minute!

15:32 BST - James Milner is the oldest player to score a penalty in Premier League history (39 years, 239 days), and the second oldest to score overall in the competition behind Teddy Sheringham (40y, 268d).

15:29 BST - GOAL! Milner converts against his old side and levels for Brighton! It's 1-1 with more than 20 minutes remaining.

15:24 BST - PENALTY! It's a penalty for Brighton with Matheus Nunes deemed to have handballed in the box. Former Man City midfielder James Milner, 39, will step up to try and equalise...

14:43 BST - Not too much quality so far at the City ground as Nottingham Forest and West Ham are still deadlocked.

Nottingham Forest are still yet to have a shot on target in this match, though have had twice as many touches in the opposition's box than West Ham (6 to 3).

14:35 BST - GOAL! Man City have the lead at Brighton and it's through none other than Erling Haaland, who has been knocking at the door and nets at close range.

14:00 BST - Underway in both Brighton and Nottingham this afternoon. Follow both matches below:

Brighton v Manchester City

Nottingham Forest v West Ham

13:57 BST - Not much to write home about in the first Old Firm of the campaign as Rangers and Celtic play out a really tame 0-0 draw.

Celtic's 100 per cent record comes to an end, but they move to the top of the table and keep their six-point advantage over their rivals.

13:20 BST - Nottingham Forest have got the better of West Ham of late with wins in three straight matches, dating to February 2024. Forest during that period have outscored the Hammers with seven goals for and one against.

13:05 BST - Today is Rodri's first Premier League start since September 2024 against Arsenal. He is unbeaten in his last 49 starts in the competition (W39 D10).

Both sides suffered Champions League qualifying frustration in midweek, so they'll be looking for a response this afternoon at Ibrox.

12:00 BST - Good afternoon and welcome back to our Football Tracker as the weekend of Premier League action continues with four more games!

We get underway at 14:00 when Manchester City travel to Brighton, while Nottingham Forest host struggling West Ham.

20:45 BST - Speaking after his side's defeat to Chelsea, Fulham boss Marco Silva was furious after Joshua King's goal was chalked off following a VAR check.

"How you disallow a goal like that one is unbelievable. Unbelievable," he told TNT Sports.

"We can talk about many things, but I'd prefer to say nothing more, because I'll be punished. And I don't want to be on the bench in the next game. I don't want to pay fines."

19:29 BST - FULL-TIME: Leeds 0-0 Newcastle. A bit of a snoozefest, if we're honest, but a result both sides could take positives from; Elland Road isn't an easy place to visit and, for Leeds, a point gained against a club competing in Europe this season. Our report's here.

18:07 BST - Having already had two shots and created one chance in this match, Leeds' Anton Stach has been involved in more shots (14; six shots, eight chances created) than any other player who is yet to score or assist in the Premier League this season.

17:45 BST - Leeds have started this match well, with three shots on goal to Newcastle's zero. Still, a lot of football to be played.

17:30 BST - We're underway at Elland Road!

17:25 BST - Away from the action for a moment and Nicolas Jackson arrived in Germany earlier this afternoon ahead of his loan move to Bayern Munich, however because of the injury to Liam Delap against Fulham, he has been recalled to London and the deal has been cancelled.

Jackson was due to have a medical but that will not take place.

17:20 BST -  Newcastle have got the better of Leeds of late and are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches against them.

Leeds meanwhile are looking for their first league win over Newcastle since January 2021.

17:10 BST - What a remarkable end to the afternoon in Manchester and Sunderland, and there's still one match to come with Leeds hosting Newcastle. You can see the line-up below and listen to the live commentary of the match here.

16:53 BST - GOAL! Sunderland 2-1 Brentford: Deep into injury time and the Black Cats have surely found a winner! Wilson Isidor heads the ball down and the ball squirms under Caoimhin Kelleher. The Stadium of Light erupts!

16:39 BST - GOAL! Sunderland 1-1 Brentford: Enzo Le Fee fires the ball into the bottom right corner and the Black Cats are level.

16:38 BST - GOAL! Wolves 2-3 Everton: The ball loops its way into the Everton box and Rodrigo Gomes gets to the ball above Jordan Pickford.

16:38 BST - PENALTY! Sunderland have a chance to level the match! Rico Henry pulls down Habib Diarra and a penalty is awarded - very similar to the decision awarded to Brentford earlier.

16:30 BST - GOAL! Sunderland 0-1 Brentford: It's been coming, but with only their third shot on goal Brentford have the lead through Igor Thiago who heads past Robin Roefs. After missing a penalty and having a goal disallowed, finally the Bees have the lead.

16:30 BST - GOAL! Man Utd 2-2 Burnley: Goodness me. A total shambles at the back for United who fail to deal with a long throw from  Kyle Walker.

Loum Tchaouna swings at it but Altay Bayindir spills the shot. Jaidon Anthony prods the ball towards goal. Kobbie Mainoo tries to clear it, but boots it off Bayindir and the ball bobbles over the line.

The away section at Old Trafford erupts.

16:20 BST - GOAL! Man Utd 2-1 Burnley: From the restart United are level! Altay Bayindir plonks the ball upfield, it's flicked on to Joshua Zirkzee who finds Diogo Dalot who cuts back to Bryan Mbuemo to score his first goal for the Red Devils. What a time to get it.

Ruben Amorim shakes his head.

16:19 BST - GOAL! Man Utd 1-1 Burnley: Jacob Bruun Larsen is allowed plenty of space as he crosses to the back post where Lyle Foster is unmarked to level for Burnley. Terrible defending yet again by United.

16:17 BST - PENALTY MISSED! Oh my. It's a terrible effort and Robin Roefs saves easily. Still 0-0 at Sunderland.

16:16 BST - PENALTY! Sunderland's Reinildo Mandava pulls Brentford's Nathan Collins to the ground and Anthony Taylor points to the spot. Mandava is booked for the challenge and Habib Diarra is yellow carded for protesting.

16:13 BST - GOAL! Wolves 1-3 Everton: Joy for Everton, despair for Wolves. Jack Grealish finds Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who thumps the ball home off the woodwork. Surely it's game over now. Wolves will fall to the bottom of the table on goal difference as it stands.

That's Dewsbury-Hall's first goal in the Premier League this season, netting for the first time since December 30th 2022 against Liverpool.

16:08 BST - ...and the second half kicks-off at Old Trafford.

16:02 BST - We're back underway at Sunderland, Spurs and Wolves.

15:53 BST - HALF-TIME: Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

Man Utd have been on top at half-time and Martin Dubravka has made five saves, his highest total in a single match in the Premier League.

15:44 BST - We are into the final minute of the first half around the grounds. Eight minutes of time has been added on at Old Trafford, two at the Stadium of Light, while the games at Tottenham and Wolves have three minutes left to play.

15:32 BST - GOAL! Wolves 1-2 Everton: Everton re-take the lead through Iliman Ndiaye's second goal of the season - and what a goal this is! Jack Grealish charges forward and passes to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who finds Ndiaye in the box to finish. Wonderful team move.

Wolves have now conceded three goals in the last 15 minutes of the first half, more than any other team in the Premier League this season.

15:31 BST - From joy to despair at Old Trafford as Matheus Cunha comes off injured, and is replaced by Joshua Zirkzee.

15:27 BST - GOAL! Man Utd 1-0 Burnley: Huge relief around Old Trafford as Josh Cullen scores an own goal to give the Red Devils the lead.

Burnley have failed to win any of their last 26 matches when conceding first in the top flight, since a victory over Watford on April 30th 2022.

15:21 BST - NO GOAL! Sunderland 0-0 Brentford: Dango Outtara gives the Bees the lead over Sunderland, but it's eventually ruled out through VAR and it's still 0-0. Outtara was narrowly offside.

15:21 BST - GOAL! Wolves 1-1 Everton: Hwang Hee-Chan pulls Wolves back into the match after a brilliant assist from Marshall Munetsi. That's his first goal in the Premier League this season, netting for the first time since December 29th 2024 against Spurs.

15:08 BST - NO PENALTY! Kyle Walker pulls Mason Mount's shirt in the box and referee Samuel Barrott points to the spot, but after a long VAR check it's ruled out. More of a 50-50 shoulder charge between the two.

15:07 BST - GOAL! Wolves 0-1 Everton: Beto gives Everton the lead and it's a third assist of the season for Jack Grealish! What an impact he's making. Grealish now has more assists in two matches at Everton than he managed in his last two seasons combined at Man City.

15:05 BST - GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Bournemouth: The Cherries have taken the lead after just five minutes through Evanilson. Bad news for Spurs, who have failed to win any of their last 14 matches when conceding first in the Premier League, since a victory over Aston Villa on November 3rd 2024.

13:41 BST - GOAL! Enzo Fernandez doubles Chelsea's lead from the spot. Leno gets a hand to it but it's not enough. 2-0.

Just two of Chelsea's seven goals in the league this season have been scored in open play - with five coming from set-pieces (four corners and one penalty).

13:47 BST - PENALTY! Chelsea whip in a cross into the box and the ball strikes Ryan Sessegnon's arm. That's incredibly harsh, but rules and rules. The ball aslo appears to strike Pedro's arm in the build-up, but nothing is given for that after a very lengthy VAR review.

13:24 BST - GOAL! Nine minutes into stoppage time and Chelsea have the lead with only their second attempt on target! Joao Pedro heads past Bernd Leno from a corner. 1-0.

13:16 BST - Eight minutes of time added on at the end of the first half will be played, due to the delay caused by Delap's injury and VAR.

13:10 BST - There has been 13 fouls awarded in the opening 39 minutes of this match, with only three Premier League matches seeing more in the first half this season - Newcastle v Liverpool (19), Bournemouth v Wolves (15) and Brighton and Hove Albion v Fulham (14).

Moises Caicedo has been shown a yellow card. Since making his Premier League debut in April 2022, Caicedo has been shown more yellow cards than any other player (35).

13:08 BST - It has been 30 minutes since Chelsea last attempted a shot in this game. It's been a difficult match for them so far.

12:51 BST - NO GOAL! Fulham break and Josh King scores his first for the club - but the goal is chalked off through VAR as Rodrigo Muniz stood on Trevoh Chalobah in the build-up.

What a moment for the 18-year-old though, it was a brilliant finish under pressure.

11:35 BST - For Chelsea, Estevao (18yrs 128d) is the youngest player to start a Premier League home game for the Blues since Nathan Ake (18yrs 90d) against Everton in May 2013.

Fulham's Raúl Jiménez starts on the bench this afternoon and should he make an appearance it will be his 200th in the Premier League. He will become the first Mexican player to reach this milestone in the competition.

Sander Berge is making his 100th appearance in the Premier League, becoming the 23rd different Norwegian to hit this milestone in the competition and the first since Martin Odegaard in December 2023.

11:23 BST - The team news has dropped for Chelsea and Fulham. Kick-off is just over one hour away.

10:47 BST - Chelsea have won each of their last five Premier League games kicking off at 12:30pm on a Saturday, including a 1-0 home win over Fulham in January 2024.

Meanwhile, Fulham have lost each of their last four Premier League games kicking off at 12:30pm on a Saturday without scoring a single goal.

10:08 BST - The first action of the weekend gets underway at Stamford Bridge and it's the west London derby between Chelsea and Fulham.

This is the third London derby of the season for the Blues as they have already played Crystal Palace (0-0) and West Ham (5-1). They also face fellow west-Londonders Brentford after the international break before travelling to Man Utd on September 20th in their first Premier League match outside of the capital this season.

It's been a tough start for Fulham with matches against Brighton (1-1) and Man Utd (1-1), but they have come away unbeaten and should feel confident at the Bridge this afternoon.

09:13 BST - Newcastle striker Alexander Isak will once again be absent with Liverpool looking to seal the transfer before the window closes at 7pm on Monday.

You can read more on that here.

09:00 BST - Hello and welcome along to matchday three of the Premier League!

We're not even a month in to the new season but some clubs are already getting hot under the collar.

Man Utd were abysmal against Grimsby midweek and it's safe to say their manager Ruben Amorim will be under all sorts of pressure should his team fail to get a result against Burnley later.

Winless Wolves could find themselves bottom of the table with another listless performance, and their job is made harder as they welcome a Jack Grealish-inspired Everton side.

Here's how things shape up today:

Chelsea v Fulham (12:30pm)

Man Utd v Burnley

Sunderland v Brentford

Tottenham v Bournemouth

Wolves v Everton

Leeds v Newcastle (5.30pm)

Kick-offs at 3pm unless otherwise stated
