19:30 BST - And that concludes are coverage tonight, thanks for joining us! We'll be back mid-week for the return of the Champions League.

See you then!

19:25 BST - You can catch-up with the highlights from today's matches below:

19:23 BST - Man City boss Pep Guardiola said to Sky Sports: "We changed a lot in this transfer window, adding nine players, the core of the team. It is impossible to think about them and achieve what we achieved. The spirit, the body language, to fight altogether, to see the faces around the pitch. It's a privilege to bring joy and some moments of happiness because I know how much the derby means.

"It is just one game. We did many good things against Tottenham. Today it means a lot, the players were so aggressive. Everyone was like a machine.

"We play Napoli on Thursday and we have to react and be less naive. Last season and this season we have been so poor in those terms but the spirit is there and the captains are fantastic."

19:04 BST - Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim told Sky Sports: "We could be more aggressive. The goals are avoidable. We suffer, we left two players 2v1. Haaland has all the space, confusion with our players.

"In these moments, if you look at the goals, there is moments we can avoid. City took it. Transitions, those moments, they were better than us."

"I understand everything. It is normal. The result, I accept that. I don't see it that way, we are doing better than the results. The record (31 league defeats) says everything. My message to fans: I will do everything. Always thinking about what is best for the club.

"Until I'm here, I'll do my best. The rest is not my decision. I'm suffering more.

18:49 BST - Man City striker Erling Haaland gave his reaction to Sky Sports and credited the atmosphere at the Etihad for their performance.

"You could feel it from the fans, we needed this," he said. "You always want to win the derby but you could feel the extra today.

"We have to keep going and we have to keep him (Foden) going, we need him so much. This is the Phil we need. We are going to help him as much as we can to make him as good as he was."

Man City goalscorer Phil Foden dedicated the win to Ricky Hatton.

He told Sky Sports"I had extra motivation going into the game, it was for him and his family. It was all for him and we are delighted with the result."

On his performance, he added: "There has been a lot of talk. It's impossible (not to see it). Everything I see at the moment is negative but that's the world we live.

"When you come off winning Player of the Season, the standards are higher. I understand that. It's about reading those comments and reacting, to come back to my level."

18:24 BST - FULL-TIME! It's all over. Man City have cruised to beat their fierce rivals Man Utd.

This is the first Manchester derby in the Premier League to have no cards shown for either side, with today their 57th encounter in the competition.

18:21 BST - There are four minutes of stoppage time to be played.

17:59 BST - GOAL! Man Utd pass carelessly around at the back and, as quick as a flash, Erling Haaland is in. He receives the ball from Bernardo Silva and charges through on goal before sidefooting it into the far corner of the net. 3-0.

17:53 BST - This is the 12th time that both Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have scored in the same Premier League game for Man City. Since 2022-23, only Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa (18 for Brentford) and Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah (14 for Liverpool) have scored in the same match for a side more often in the competition.

17:52 BST - Gianluigi Donnarumma gets down brilliantly well to deny Bryan Mbeumo. What a save from the debutant!

17:47 BST - Erling Haaland's 10 Premier League goal involvements against Man Utd (seven goals, three assists) is his joint-most against a side in the competition along with his involvements against Wolves.

17:43 BST - GOAL! Man City double their lead through Erling Haaland - and it's another assist from Jeremy Doku!

Doku plays the Norwegian international through on goal and he dinks the ball over the on-rushing Altay Bayindir and into the net. That was also the 1,500th goal scored by a side managed by Pep Guardiola in top-flight league football. 2-0

17:35 BST - Man Utd get the second half underway at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City have only lost one of their last 51 Premier League home games in which they led at half-time (W44 D6), though that was to Man Utd in this exact fixture last season (1-2 loss).

17:18 BST - HALF-TIME! Man City lead at the break though Foden's fantastic header.

The five shots in the first half (four for City, one for Utd) is the second-fewest on record in the Manchester derby in the Premier League (since 2003-04) after four in October 2015.

17:17 BST - There will be one minute of time added on at the end of the first half.

17:09 BST - We have 15 minutes of the first half to go. Prior to today, the team that has scored first in the Manchester derby in the Premier League has gone on to lose on three of the last four occasions, with Man City's 3-0 win in October 2023 the exception.

16:49 BST - GOAL! Phil Foden gives Man City the lead! Jeremy Doku does well to hook the ball up for Foden who heads past Altay Bayindir. 1-0.

That's his seventh goal against Utd, only against Brighton (eight) has he scored more Premier League goals against. Only Sergio Agüero and Wayne Rooney (both eight) have scored more goals in the Manchester derby than Foden.

It's also another assist from Doku! Since his Premier League debut for Man City in September 2023, no player has more assists from open play for the club (14).

16:32 BST - Referee Anthony Taylor blows his whistle and the 137th Manchester derby is underway.

16:29 BST - Both sets of fans come together to pay respects to Ricky Hatton.

16:25 BST - We're moments away from kick-off at the Etihad Stadium.

Today is the first time both Man City (25y 224d) and Man Utd (25y 141d) have named a lineup with an average of 25 years or younger in the same game against each other since October 2011, when the Citizens won 6-1 at Old Trafford.

This is Pep Guardiola’s 600th top-flight league game as a manager (W445 D85 L69), though he only has more league losses against Tottenham (eight) than against Man Utd (six).

16:16 BST - Liverpool goalscorer Mohamed Salah told Sky Sports"It’s a tough opponent today. We tried our best to play the ball between the lines, but it’s tough to win. I’m glad that in the end we managed to win the game.

"The players are adapting to our system. We had a few new players in the starting line-up. It takes time to adapt their game to our game. We try to make them comfy in a game. We try to find the balance.

"We don’t give up. We just try to push ourselves and our team to the limit."

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk added: "We obviously try to break teams down. We had to be patient and be ready whenever we lost the ball that we’re ready to defend the counters.

"We kept looking for the goal and for the opportunities. We created some good opportunities, not many clear-cut chances. But I think it was a well-deserved win.

"Today it was key to not get frustrated, keep trying and find the space in between the lines to create opportunities. A well-deserved win, it could have been a draw."

16:03 BST - We'll bring reaction from Turf Moor shortly, but for now attention turns towards the Manchester derby. Kick-off is at 16:30 BST.

As a reminder there will be a minute's applause before the match to honour boxing great Ricky Hatton who died earlier today.

15:57 BST - FULL-TIME! Liverpool beat Burnley after late penalty drama at Turf Moor.

Liverpool are the first side in Premier League history to win four consecutive games thanks to winning goals scored in the final 10 minutes or later, while Mo Salah moves above Andy Cole and into fourth spot in the Premier League's all-time scoring list with 188 goals.

15:55 BST - GOAL! Mohamed Salah fires into the roof of the net and Liverpool lead deep into injury time! Absolutely incredible.

15:53 BST - PENALTY TO LIVERPOOL! The ball touches Hannibal's arm in the box and the ref points to the spot.

15:50 BST - Liverpool keep pushing for the winner as the clock ticks past 90 minutes. The Reds have had 81% possession and peppered Burnley's goal with 24 shots compared to The Clarets' three.

There will be five minutes of time added on.

15:44 BST - RED CARD! Burnley are down to 10! Lesley Ugochukwu has been sent off for a second yellow card.

Burnley have the joint-most red cards of any Premier League side since the start of 2023-24 (eight), along with Arsenal and Liverpool, despite playing in the Championship in 2024-25.

15:39 BST - It's still 0-0 between Burnley and Liverpool. So far in the second half, Burnley are yet to record a shot or a touch in the opposition's box. They've also completed just 14 successful passes compared to Liverpool's 197.

15:26 BST - Man City take on Man Utd in just over an hour's time and the starting XI's have just been announced with Gianluigi Donnarumma making his debut for City.

Donnarumma is the first player to make his Premier League debut for City against Utd since Claudio Bravo and Leroy Sane in September 2016.

Man City: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Josko Gvardiol, Rúben Dias, Abdukodir Khusanov, Nico O'Reilly, Tijjani Reijnders, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Jérémy Doku, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden

15:13 BST - Liverpool are pushing for the opening but are being frustrated by Burnley's resiliance in defence.

15:05 BST - One change at the break for Liverpool as Conor Bradley comes on for the injured Alexis Mac Allister, meaning Dominik Szoboszlai will move into midfield. We're back underway for the second half.

14:58 BST - Some ominous reading for Burnley fans at half-time from Opta: Liverpool were level in all three away league games against newly promoted sides last season at half-time, going on to win on all three occasions.

Meanwhile Roy Keane has been vocal about Milos Kerkez's substitution at the break...

14:50 BST - HALF-TIME: Burnley and Liverpool are level at the break.

Half-time stats
Half-time statsOpta by StatsPerform

14:45 BST - There will be three minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.

14:39 BST - Liverpool have made an early change. Milos Kerkez, who has already been booked for a terrible dive, has been replaced by Andy Robertson at left back. Brutal from Arne Slot, who realised the 21-year-old was running the risk of being sent off.

14:36 BST - It's one-way traffic with Liverpool having the majority of chances (seven to two). No Burnley player has had more touches of the ball (15) or has attempted more passes (14) than goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.

14:15 BST - We've had 15 minutes and Liverpool, as expected, are on top, with 80% possession with three shots on goal. It's still 0-0.

Burnley's Hjalmar Ekdal has won all three of his aerial duels so far in this match, winning half of Burnley's six overall.

14:00 BST - Referee Michael Oliver blows his whistle and we're underway.

13:55 BST - The players are in the tunnel and we're moments away from our first match of the afternoon as Burnley host Liverpool.

13:40 BST - The Premier League have confirmed there will be a minute's applause ahead of the Manchester derby in tribute to City fan and boxing legend Ricky Hatton who died earlier today aged 46.

You can read more about that news here.

13:30 BST - Liverpool manager Arne Slot has explained why Alexander Isak is not involved at Turf Moor today.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "We've decided it is the best for him to have a proper week of training instead of every time going for five or 10 minutes of playing.

"I can assure the fans that he will be involved on Wednesday (Atletico Madrid in the Champions League), but this game came a bit too early."

Read more about his absence here.

13:02 BST - So Alexander Isak isn't named in the Liverpool squad who have named only their second unchanged Premier League starting XI of 2025, after their match against Bournemouth in February.

Mohamed Salah is making his 305th Premier League appearance, moving him joint-second among all African players in the competition (level with Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew), behind only Kolo Touré (353).

13:00 BST - Burnley host Liverpool in an hour's time and here's how both teams line-up:

Burnley: Martin Dúbravka, Quilindschy Hartman, Maxime Estève, Hjalmar Ekdal, Kyle Walker, Lesley Ugochukwu, Josh Cullen, Jaidon Anthony, Josh Laurent, Loum Tchaouna, Lyle Foster

Liverpool: Alisson Becker, Milos Kerkez, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitiké

22:30 BST - Brentford boss Keith Andrews told BBC Sport after tonight's match: "Delighted with the approach of the group, the character we constantly show. The equaliser came very late, but it's what I felt we deserved from the game in terms of the application, the quality the players showed for large parts.

"Kevin's pace is just sensational and he's constantly growing in confidence," he said of Schade's goal. "He's in a different stature now in our group, he's shown last season for large parts what a good player he is, and he will be a big part."

21:55 BST - FULL-TIME: Brentford 2-2 Chelsea. What a finish! The Blues got themselves right back into the mix, but the Bees had enough about them to fight right back at the death. Read our report here.
