19:29 BST - Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said he was disappointed not to pick up all three points against City today.

"I'm very proud of the team," Arteta told Sky Sports.

"We dominated them, and I'm very disappointed with the result.

"We started really well, dominant again, playing in their half, and we didn't allow them to breathe.

"But in one action, that is very chaotic, there's a duel there, we lose it, and they find themselves three versus two in space, and they're lethal there. They finished the action with quality.

"After that, we had five shaky minutes, and we had to reset mentally because it was so unfair to concede the goal with what we were doing. But after that, we dominated again.

"There are always things we can do better.

The way we delivered the cross to the defensive organisation afterwards, we made it a bit easy for them. But the speed, execution, quality - you have to congratulate the opponent."

19:24 BST - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted Arsenal were the better side today.

"Hats off to the team for their resilience," he told Sky Sports.

"We played against United, then in the Champions League on Thursday and now today against an opponent who are so powerful in all aspects.

"It is so difficult when you are not effective in the high pressing or in the build-up. I think the result is far. In general, Arsenal were better.

"The togetherness in the three games since the transfer window has been top. We defended incredibly well at corners.

"Yeah, we take that point. Of course, we have to improve, but after five games in the Premier League, it is what it is."

18:59 BST - Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice believes his team have earned the respect of opposition players following another solid result against a 'big six' side.

"We've gained respect of the opposition - they know the quality we have from front to back," he told Sky Sports.

"We passed and moved well in the first half and in the second, but there was always the threat on the counter.

"In the end, we deserved the goal and would have been disappointed to come away losing."

18:53 BST - Erling Haaland picked up his sixth goal of the season in the Premier League, with the Norwegian unsurprisingly topping the goalscoring charts:

18:48 BST - Arsenal's William Saliba completed more touches than any other player on the pitch (113), as well as completing 96 per cent of his attempted passes (95/99):

18:42 BST - Gabriel Martinelli has been directly involved in four Premier League goals against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City (two goals, two assists), more than any other Arsenal player since 2016/17 (Guardiola's first season).

18:33 BST - FULL-TIME! Arsenal rescue a point against Manchester City thanks to Martinelli's 93rd-minute goal, cancelling out Haaland's early opener. Read our match report here.

18:27 BST - GOAL! Arsenal rescue a point in the 93rd minute! Gabriel Martinelli haunts City once again after a delightful pass from Eze, lobbing Gianluigi Donnarumma to level the scores.

18:12 BST - Around 15 minutes still to play at the Emirates, can Arsenal turn things around late on?

17:54 BST - Arsenal haven't come back to win any of the previous 12 Premier League games in which they've trailed at half-time (D6 L6), last coming back to win against Bournemouth in March 2023 (3-2 after being 0-1 down at half-time).

They have around 30 minutes to buck that trend this evening.

17:38 BST - Mikel Arteta has turned to his substitutes at half-time, bringing on Eze and Saka in place of Noni Madueke and Mikel Merino.

17:23 BST - It's half-time at the Emirates, with Arsenal trailing 1-0 to Manchester City after Haaland's early opener.

17:12 BST - Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris was delighted with his side's 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, especially after going down to 10 men in the first half.

"The value of this one is really important because we had different experiences today," he said to BBC Sport.

"We started really well 11 v 11, we were in our game plan, well connected with the opportunities and were in a good place.

"Then the red card came - but the team reacted really well. It was important to stay 0-0 and then at half-time we decided on a new game plan."

16:57 BST - Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 31 games in the Premier League when opening the scoring within the first 10 minutes (W28 D3), since a defeat away to Brighton in May 2021.

16:39 BST - GOAL! Manchester City lead Arsenal inside 10 minutes through none other than Erling Haaland - an electric counter from the visitors.

16:33 BST - Bournemouth moved up to third in the table after their draw with Newcastle this afternoon, putting in a pleasing performance for boss Andoni Iraola:

"We have to value the point; we are playing against a Champions League club," Iraola told BBC Sport.

"I'm happy with the performance. The way we defended, we played in their half, and we didn't concede many set pieces. The ones we did, we defended really well."

16:28 BST - We're about to get underway at the Emirates - stick with us for all the major updates.

16:18 BST - Aston Villa's Tyrone Mings completed 93 per cent of his passes (62/67) against Sunderland.

16:12 BST - Aston Villa have failed to win in their last six games in the Premier League; their last longer winless streak was from February 1st, 2020, to July 9th, 2020, a run of 10 games.

16:10 BST - Sunderland are undefeated in their last three games in the Premier League; their last longer unbeaten streak was almost a decade ago, from 16th April 2016 to 15th May 2016, a run of six games.

16:08 BST - Newcastle United have failed to score in three of their five games; only Aston Villa (four) have failed to score more often in the Premier League this season.

15:56 BST - FULL-TIME! The 10 men of Sunderland battle back to earn a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa after Isidor cancels out Cash's superb second-half strike.

12:56 BST - The line-ups are in for both early afternoon Premier League matches.

Sunderland have handed a full Premier League debut to youngster Chris Rigg, while new Aston Villa signing Evan Guessand is also in from the start.

18:43 BST - We're back underway at Old Trafford - can Chelsea get back in the game with both sides down to 10 men?

18:31 BST - Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler was equally pleased with his team's showing, but urged a bit more ruthlessness:

"I think how we conceded the goals was quite unlucky. Overall I was pleased with the performance," he admitted to Sky Sports.

"We created chances, had quite a few good transition moments, especially in the second half and we could finish the game earlier. In the end, there were a lot of unlucky things.

"We have to be more ruthless sometimes. Be more stable in some moments. But we have to see the positives."

18:28 BST - Spurs manager Thomas Frank described his side's draw with Brighton as their best performance of the season:

"I thought we looked extremely strong. I am very happy with the overall performance," he told Sky Sports.

"It was potentially our best performance of the season. We dominated more or less throughout the game and created enough chances.

"We may have lacked enough to create three or four big chances, but the amount of crosses we were putting in, for me, if there should have been a winner, it should have been us."

18:26 BST - An utterly bizarre half of football ends with Man Utd leading Chelsea 2-0, and both sides down to 10 men.

18:20 BST - RED CARD! The teams are evened up after goalscorer Casemiro is shown a second yellow ard for pulling down Santos - will Maresca regret all those substitutions now?

18:07 BST - GOAL! It's 2-0 to United, with Casemiro converting from close range to double the hosts' lead.

17:50 BST - This has not gone to plan for Chelsea, at all. Enzo Maresca is forced into his third substitution inside 20 minutes - Palmer comes off for Andrey Santos.

The Englishman puts his coat on and walks straight down the tunnel, although it's unclear if a fresh injury issue has caused the change.

17:45 BST - GOAL! United waste no time and take advantage through Bruno Fernandes - although it's tight and VAR will check it... goal stands! 1-0 United.

17:35 BST - RED CARD! Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is dismissed for taking out Bryan Mbeumo when the Cameroonian was in on goal - Filip Jorgensen comes on in place of Estevao after just five minutes.

Tosin Adarabioyo is also introduced in place of winger Pedro Neto.

17:26 BST - Manchester United's clash with Chelsea gets underway in around five minutes - stick with us for the latest updates!

Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams scored after just 1 minute and 38 seconds, the fastest goal in the Premier League this season

"Frustrating because if we had played like that, pressed like that from the start, it would have been a different game. In the end we couldn't get that last goal."
