Emma Raducanu has ended her season early after the physical struggles she endured in China.

Britain's number one had been due to play in Tokyo and Hong Kong, but has decided to shut down her campaign with a look ahead to 2026.

Raducanu retired during her first-round match against Ann Li in hot and humid conditions in Wuhan last week, where she had her blood pressure checked by the trainer.

The 22-year-old played at this week's Ningbo Open but again had to have her vitals checked as she faded to a first-round defeat to Zhu Lin.

She also appeared to be struggling with the recurrence of a lower back issue against Zhu, which has troubled her throughout the season.

In more positive news for Raducanu, she has struck an agreement to continue working with Rafael Nadal's former coach Francisco Roig into 2026.

Spaniard Roig started coaching Raducanu in August on a four-month basis and will keep his role with the former US Open champion next season.
