Will Connors has been selected ahead of Ireland openside flanker Josh van der Flier in Leinster's starting side for Saturday's European Champions Cup final against Toulouse in London.

Connors started instead of Van der Flier in both of the Irish province's victories over La Rochelle, in the pool stage and the quarterfinals, but was left out of the matchday 23 for the semi-final win over Northampton.

Van der Flier is on the bench, with Leinster boss Leo Cullen opting for a six-two split of forwards and backs among the replacements for the Dublin-based side.

Ireland full-back Hugo Keenan is also back in the starting XV for his first Champions Cup appearance since the last 16 after proving his fitness in a United Rugby Championship defeat by Ulster last weekend.

Leinster co-captain and lock James Ryan, who like Keenan returned from injury against Ulster, is on the bench for Saturday's showpiece match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As a result, Ireland No. 8 Caelan Doris continues as captain after his leadership qualities helped Leinster close out a 20-17 win over Northampton in a tense finish to a semi-final at Dublin's Croke Park.

Ryan's inclusion on the bench means Ross Molony drops out of the matchday 23, with South African lock Jason Jenkins starting in the second row.

Ireland centre Garry Ringrose, who has not played since the final game of the Six Nations because of a shoulder injury, has failed a fitness test. Jamie Osborne continues in midfield alongside Robbie Henshaw.

French giants Toulouse, who have won a record five Champions Cup titles to Leinster's four, have made just one change from the matchday 23 that beat Harlequins 38-26 in the semi-finals.

Dublin-born Joshua Brennan comes onto the bench to provide second and back-row cover.

Toulouse, beaten by Leinster in both the 2022 and 2023 semi-finals, have again opted for Scotland full-back Blair Kinghorn over France's Thomas Ramos.

England's Jack Willis is included in Toulouse's back-row as he bids to win a first Champions Cup title after ruling himself out of Test rugby to remain in France.
