A lightning warning forced the teams off the field during the third Test between the British and Irish Lions and Australia in Sydney on Saturday.

Officials made the call two minutes into the second half with the Wallabies leading 8-0 in atrocious conditions at a sodden Stadium Australia.

The delay was marred by several security breaches, with at least four fans running on to the pitch to huge cheers before being tackled to the ground.

Wing Dylan Pietsch dotted down for Australia in the eighth minute with Tom Lynagh nailing a penalty late in the first half to put the hosts in the driving seat.

The Lions have already won the three-Test series after victories in Brisbane and Melbourne.
