English Prem champions Bath made it two league wins from two games this season as they beat Sale 28-16 on a wet and windy night at the Recreation Ground on Friday.

Henry Arundell, Cameron Redpath and Beno Obano all scored tries for Bath during the first half as the hosts led 21-9 at the break.

England veteran fly-half George Ford kicked 11 points, including two drop-goals, to keep northwest side Sale in the game.

And the visitors reduced Bath's lead to just five points when Nathan Jibulu scored their only try of the game early in the second half.

But southwest club Bath put the result beyond doubt three minutes from time when Max Ojomoh chased and grounded the ball for the clinching try.
