Veteran All Blacks centre Ma'a Nonu will be on the replacements bench for Toulon at Castres on Saturday in his first appearance since returning to the French Top 14.

The 42-year-old Nonu, who won 103 caps for New Zealand in a storied international career, signed as medical cover for Toulon until the end of the season.

His last match with the club was in May 2021 after which he left to play in the United States.

Third in the Top 14 table, Toulon are looking to keep the pressure on second-place Bordeaux-Begles who don't play until Sunday.

The top two in the table at the end of the regular season qualify directly for the semi-finals while teams between third and sixth go into play-offs.
