Today's matches:
Live updates:
07:15 CET - What a day of football we've had!
Group D has been sewn up by the USA, who, for the second time in their history, won two games at a World Cup with a 2-0 win over Australia in Seattle.
With Turkey eliminated, Paraguay and Australia's clash next week is a de facto second-place play-off.
Elsewhere, Brazil brushed aside Haiti with Matheus Cunha scoring twice, and Morocco netted early to beat Scotland 1-0.
Plenty more reaction to come from Flashscore, as we look ahead to another action-packed day at the World Cup.
07:07 CET - TURKEY ARE OUT OF THE WORLD CUP!
One final chance falls to Merih Demiral, but he heads wide, and that's it. Turkey, wasteful again, have succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Paraguay, who were down to 10 men for more than a half.
With that result, the USA are guaranteed to top the group too.
Catch up with a crazy game in the Bay Area here.

06:58 CET - Into seven minutes of stoppage time...
06:56 CET - That was the chance! Turkey are in, and it's Can Uzun, off the bench. On the penalty spot, goal at his mercy, he mishits the shot and the goalkeeper can save. This is desperate now for the Turkish.
06:48 CET - All hands to the pump for Paraguay, as they continue to hold Turkey at bay. They've now had a total of 55 shots in the tournament so far, no goals.
06:36 CET - We've made it to the water break, and it's still the same old story for Turkey. All the ball, but nothing to show for it.
They are a quarter away from going out - can they change their fate?

06:23 CET - We are 10 minutes into the second half, and Paraguay continue to defend their box manfully, with Turkey having 70% of the ball in the opening stages.
Kenan Yildiz, a threat against Australia, is starting to show his class. He has hit the side-netting, whilst Hakan Calhanoglu has fired just over.
A reminder that if Turkey lose this game, they are out of the World Cup.

05:52 CET - Half-time has been called after ten minutes of stoppage time and Turkey's management will need to make a quick and drastic change to their second-half tactics to make the most of the one-man advantage that they'll have after the break. There can be no complaints about Almiron's red card - covering the mouth whilst in confrontation with other players is a new offence but he clearly committed it.

05:48 CET - PARAGUAY ARE DOWN TO TEN MEN JUST BEFORE HALF-TIME! The referee has gone off to view the altercation between the players and has sent off Miguel Almiron for covering his mouth whilst speaking to an opponent, which in a confrontational situation, is now a red card offence.

05:45 CET - There has been a bit of tension on the pitch, and things are on the verge of boiling over between the players. Isidro Pitta was down off the ball and calling for assistance, which prompted the referee to stop play during a promising Turkish attack. Turkish players were quite frustrated with it, particularly as Pitta had hurt himself attempting a tackle but had not required treatment.
05:35 CET - We almost had one of Turkey's two inclusions making the scoresheet after Mert Muldur came agonisingly close to scoring from a header!
05:25 CET - Time for a refreshment in Santa Clara. It has so far been a 'snatch and grab' type performance from Paraguay who pounced on their first opportunity and have shut Turkey out since.

05:20 CET - Turkey have had the best of the last five minutes, including a dangerous 21st minute corner that amounted to naught.
05:15 CET - It was not until the 14th minute that Turkey troubled Paraguay for the first time, when Arda Guler blazed one over the box. They had a corner immediately after when the Paraguay keeper took too long to take his goal kick - the third such infringement of the entire tournament.
05:02 CET - 1-0 PARAGUAY! We have another second-minute goal today and it's five seconds quicker than Morocco's effort earlier! Paraguay's new selection, Matias Galarza, drills it to the goalkeeper's left from outside the box, scratching the inside of the post on its way through. 64 seconds is the new record for this tournament.
Moments later, Galarza is booked for a foul. A few players came together in a moment of frustration.

The Paraguayan supporters were already going berserk even before that goal was scored.
05:00 CET - Kickoff in Santa Clara is just moments away! An enormous wall of noise is being created by both sets of supporters who are right up for this.
04:50 CET - This is an enormous matchday two clash because it would mean the end of the tourmament for Turkey if they lose today. They would not be able to get ahead of either Australia or Paraguay on the head-to-head tiebreak even if they were to beat USA in their final game to finish on three points. Paraguay v Australia already looks like a play-off for second place, but that won't even remotely be on the minds of La Albirroja as they focus on what is to come in ten minutes.
04:45 CET - Turkey have made two changes to their team, bringing in Mert Muldur (right back) and Yunus Akgun (right midfield) for Zeki Celik and Orkun Kokcu. Paraguay bring in Isidro Pitta (striker) and Matias Galarza (central midfield) for Antonio Sanabria and Damian Bobadilla.
04:40 CET - Both teams have reported full benches and clean bills of health. Here are the starting lineups:

04:35 CET - We're loving the half-hour gaps between games on day nine at the FIFA World Cup because we're going straight from one match to another with just enough time to stretch our legs! On we go to Turkey v Paraguay...
04:30 CET - Brazil complete a very easy win in Philadelphia, but that's not going to be enough to stave off the critics who amassed after the draw with Morocco. A much bigger winning margin was expected here to be frank, and they're definitely only slowly building into the tournament. Haiti have sadly been officially eliminated from the tournament as they now cannot finish in third place. Brazil and Morocco top the group with four points each and Scotland are next with three, but they have the head-to-head tiebreak over Haiti.

04:27 CET - Five minutes of stoppage time has been added on. The Brazilian crowd has been quiet for the most part, probably hoping and expecting there would be something more to celebrate after half-time.
04:20 CET - Vinicius Junior is finished up for today after a busy shift. His player rating has been dragged down to 8.3 by five unsuccessful dribbles but it's still a successful day out.

04:15 CET - Endrick was mid-celebration before the linesman spoiled the party. He split the goalkeeper's legs with his shot from inside the box to bring the pro-Brazilian crowd to life. Brazil have notched up eight offsides and two of them saw goals ruled out. It's something they'll need to work on between games.
04:10 CET - Douglas Santos would and should be disappointed not to have finished off a great Brazilian attack from the edge of the box. Still no score in this half for Brazil.
04:05 CET - The second half hydration break has been called after Brazil strike the woodwork, albeit from a slightly offside position.
04:00 CET - Haiti got so, so close to scoring a momentous goal through Ricardo Ade! He connected a corner with a well directed header that Alisson palmed away from right on the goal line. That deserved to score, but the save was also a fine one.
03:50 CET - Haiti had a rare move into the Brazil box but there were plenty of numbers back to defuse it. They have created only 0.07 expected goals. Brazil's xG of 1.21 tells you a little bit about how the Haiti defending and goalkeeping left a lot to be desired.

03:40 CET - The two booked Haitian players are pulled at the half-time break. Wilson Isidor and Dominique Simon are on for Carlens Arcus and Frantzdy Pierrot.
Brazilian fans and media demand complete ruthlessness from their players, who cannot afford to relax for a moment despite their three-goal lead. Many were wanting a winning margin of at least five goals tonight.
03:24 CET - Half-time in Philadelphia. For the first time since 2002, Brazil have scored 3+ in the first half of a World Cup game.

03:22 CET - Frantzdy Pierrot goes into the book after a clumsy contest in which he puts a hand into the face of Gabriel.
03:19 CET - Six minutes of stoppage time commences as Brazil make another journey into Haiti's box. Vini Jr then scores Brazil's third, slipping one past the Haitian goalkeeper who probably should have done better there. Lucas Paqueta delivered the aerial assist from inside his own half after Haiti's side pressed a little too far high before losing the ball.

03:13 CET - Raphinha is leaving the field for medical treatment and has been replaced by 19-year-old Rayan. This is not the night for Brazil to be taking any chances with their stars. It should be said that Raphinha walked off unaided and without any visible discomfort, so it appears to be more of a precautionary change.
03:08 CET - 2-0! All too easy for Brazil as Vini Jr slips through a precise ground through ball to Matheus Cunha who slams it past a helpless Haitian goalkeeper.

02:56 CET - After four offsides, Brazil make the breakthrough with a bit of fortune after a deflection off the shin of Matheus Cunha. He was one half of a goalmouth scramble near the penalty spot after the ball rebounded from a save. A Haitian defender toepoked it into Cunha before Brazil goes into the hydration break 1-0 up.

02:50 CET - In successive games, we've had the fastest goal of the 2026 World Cup (through Morocco) and the fastest yellow card with Haiti's Carlens Arcus booked in the fourth minute.
02:45 CET - Brazil appeared to have scored in the 12th minute but Raphinha has a goal ruled out for offside. There was a delightful short aerial pass from Bruno Guimaraes to set it up.
02:37 CET - A rare instance of one of the new rules coming into play as he awards Brazil a corner after Haiti's goalkeeper took too long with his goal kick. It's 0-0 in the sixth minute with neither team registering a shot.
02:30 CET - Kick-off in Philadelphia!
02:20 CET - It's almost time for 'Friday Night Football', but not as we usually know it in Philly! Sunderland's Wilson Isidor has dropped to the bench for Haiti as they look to shore up their defences against Brazil.
02:15 CET - There's plenty of yellow and plenty of blue and red around the stadium in Philadelphia as they get set for the players to walk out for anthems. The skies are clear, temperatures in the mid-20s as the sun sets, and there is a zero percent chance of rain.
02:05 CET - Starting lineups for the Brazilians and Haitians are as follows. Neymar and Wesley Franca are out for Brazil, whilst Leverton Pierre's World Cup has come to a premature end.

02:00 CET - Morocco win! They hold on and take top of the group on four points, which almost certainly books their place in the Round of 32 unless Haiti can take a point off Brazil in the next match.
Morocco are on four points and Scotland on three. Brazil are on one point and Haiti nought. Morocco face Haiti in their final group game, so top spot could come down to the old school goal difference tiebreak if Morocco and Brazil both end up on seven points.

01:53 CET - Scotland have six minutes of additional time to snatch a draw.
01:50 CET - Scotland have had a couple of attacks in the last five minutes and the enormous roars around the stadium give no second guesses as to who this crowd is behind. They're doing all they can to pressure Morocco with three minutes plus stoppage time remaining. Those spectators erupt into jeering as Morocco's goalkeeper goes down after a simple collect. "I can't imagine goalkeeping cramp actually happens," jokes one of the English world feed broadcasters.

01:45 CET - At the 80-minute mark of the game, Morocco are setting up their first substitutions of the game. Three subs are getting ready. Before those changes were made, Scotland had a penalty shout waved away.
01:40 CET - Both sets of fans stood and applauded at the 76 minute mark to acknowledge the passing of 76-year-old Scottish fan Donny Strathie, who travelled to the United States to see their long-awaited World Cup return. He suddenly passed after Scotland's win over Haiti and was due to be at this game. We send our best wishes to his loved ones.
01:35 CET - On comes Kenny McLean, the man who scored that famous goal from the halfway line against Denmark.
01:30 CET - The players go into their second-half hydration break with Scotland still yet to have a shot on target. Morocco have had most of the ball as you can see below.

01:20 CET - Morocco have created two opportunities sincce we last checked in, with a Bilal El Khannouss header being saved and Brahim Diaz having a shot blocked after being a bit too slow to check a shot past a defender in front of him. In the meantime, Kieran Tierney has gone down with an injury.
01:12 CET - Scotland make an early inroad and Scotland appeal for a penalty which us turned down after some assistance from the VAR.
01:07 CET - The second half is underway at Gillette Stadium and neither team made any half-time substitutions.
00:50 CET - That was a bit of a difficult watch for the Tartan Army, but there were a couple of opportunities to get excited along the way.

00:45 CET - Five minutes of stoppage time are underway and Scotland created their first genuine chance of the game, where a powerful cross from Robertson led to a miscued volley from McGinn at the far post.
00:40 CET - Scotland are yet to take a shot or create a chance with their 35% possession, but as we all know, it takes only one moment of brilliance - or a drastic error - to change a score.
00:25 CET - The players are taking the universally beloved hydration break, so let's check in on who has been holding the momentum so far.

00:20 CET - It's one-way traffic in Foxborough with Morocco holding 72% of uncontested possession, creating two big chances and the only goal of the game.
00:10 CET - Scotland are playing deep defensively but still having a lot of trouble with a fast-paced Moroccan attack.
00:02 CET - MOROCCO SCORE IN 70 SECONDS! Ismael Saibari buried a thunderbolt past Angus Gunn after receiving a delightful pass out to the right from Brahim Diaz.
It followed a period of Moroccan passes from the kickoff as you can see below.

23:55 CET - The Gillette Stadium is an absolute picture with not an empty seat in the house, though we spare a thought for the very few spectators who have no shade on this warm evening.
23:50 CET - Here are the starting lineups for both teams, who have completed their pre-game warm-ups. Abde Ezzalzouli and Naif Aguerd are out with injury for Morocco, whilst Scotland are missing Billy Gilmour.

23:25 CET - Moving to Boston and Group C, the second match of the evening sees Morocco looking for their first win of the World Cup against Scotland, who edged past Haiti in their opener. Kick-off is at midnight.

23:04 CET - That’s all she wrote in Seattle, and the USA have beaten Australia 2-0 thanks to two first-half goals. Read our full match report here!
Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Chants of USA, USA, ring round the ground as their side book their spot in the last-32 with the win over Australia. Not as dominant as against Paraguay, but a solid performance with more room to grow."

Socceroos boss Tony Popovic made some questionable changes to his XI for the match, and it’s safe to say they didn’t work with him bringing on the heroes from the Turkey win at half-time.
That sparked the Aussies into action a bit, but the dominance of the USMNT in the first 45 minutes was more than enough to see them home and safely into the second round after two wins from two.
All in all, it’s the perfect start to the tournament for the co-hosts. Next up for them is a clash with Turkey, and they seem to have some real momentum now!

22:50 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Australia are making an effort to get back into the contest, with Jackson Irvine on to make his trademark runs from deep. It's making a difference, but the final ball is lacking as time ticks away."
22:45 CET - Today's second match sees Scotland taking on Morocco at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, from midnight. You can see the starting lineups for that Group C clash below.
Steve Clarke has made a couple of changes after the Scots' unconvincing 1-0 win over Haiti, reverting to a one-striker system, with Nathan Patterson and Kieran Tierney coming into the side. Morocco are unchanged from their 1-1 draw with Brazil. Notably, Achraf Hakimi starts despite his pending rape trial.

22:35 CET - We are heading into the second-half's hydration break, and it is just feeling like Australia are starting to build some momentum with four fresh bodies on, including Cristian Volpato, who joined the three half-time substitutes.
Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Tweaks for Australia now as they try and find a way back into this with the USA looking slightly tired. Volpato, who played for Italy's youth sides, is on for his competitive debut, and he's making an impact. Quick feet and some pace to boot, the ball needs to go through him if the Socceroos can mount a stunning comeback."

22:25 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Tony Popovic has rolled the dice once again with those three half-time changes, but it hasn't changed the pattern of this game. The USA are in control - they've lowered the tempo from that opening burst, a more professional approach that will, as things stand, see them qualify for the round of 32 with a game to spare."

22:10 CET - The second half is getting started in Seattle, and Tony Popovic is indeed ringing the changes with three substitutes coming on for Australia. The goalscorers from the Turkey win, Connor Metcalfe and Nestory Irankunda, are both on, along with defender Jason Geria.
The own-goal scorer, Cameron Burgess, Nishan Velupillay, and Mohamed Toure are all off.

22:00 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Questions were asked before kick-off about how the US would fare without their star man, Christian Pulisic. They've answered them in a first half where they've blown Australia away. Pushing men up to Australia’s back five, they've not allowed them much space to play or counter. A defeat for the Socceroos is no disaster today, given last week’s win over Turkey, but they can't let this turn into a rout."
21:54 CET - That’s half-time in Seattle, and the USMNT lead the Socceroos 2-0 after an early own goal from Cameron Burgess, and a second from Alex Freeman late in the half.
There haven’t been loads of big chances. In fact, the USA have only hit the target twice, but they have dominated almost every other metric so far: 70 per cent possession, nine shots to two, and most importantly, the scoreline.
The Australians look to be lacking ideas to respond, meaning Tony Popovic will simply have to make changes in order to turn this one around.

21:45 CET - THE USA HAVE A SECOND! After a video review, Alex Freeman has scored a goal for the US that was initially ruled out for offside. Freeman reacted well to head home a deflected shot that looped up high to leave the Australian keeper, Patrick Beach, in no man's land.

21:40 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Under 10 minutes to go before the break, and you feel Tony Popovic’s selection gambles have not paid off. Australia are missing the industry and unpredictability of Nestory Irankunda - you'd think he will be on the field in the second half."

21:35 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "The party has moved from LA to Seattle, and the USMNT are riding the crest of a wave. Quicker into the tackle, smooth passing, and that pace is keeping this crowd well engaged in this game. Mauricio Pochettino is matching it on the touchline, constantly shouting instructions. They have to be wary of Australia's own speed merchants, but as we go past the first hydration break, it's been a dream start for the hosts."

21:25 CET - At the hydration break, the USA lead Australia 1-0 thanks to Cameron Burgess’ own goal. It must be said that the hosts are well on top so far, with the Socceroos camped deep in their own half for the most part and unable to hang onto the ball for long or effectively counter too much. That will remain their game plan, however - soak up the pressure and look to grab an equaliser.

21:11 CET - USA HAVE SCORED EARLY! After sitting in very deep for the early stages, Australia have conceded through an own goal from Cameron Burgess after he inadvertently cleared the ball into his net, following a teasing cross.
Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "Pace is always a problem, and the USA score early down to the speed of Folarin Balogun. He gets in behind, cuts it back, and there's really little Burgess can do but put it in his own net. The stadium erupted after the goal, a fanbase passionate about their side and about the game. What Australia do next will be very telling. Will they step out and play, allowing the US more space, or stay compact?"

21:06 CET - Josh Donaldson at Seattle Stadium: "As expected, Australia have started in their familiar low block with nine behind the ball and Mohamed Toure the lone striker. Interestingly, Folarin Balogun and Ricardo Pepi are partnered in a front two, rather than the slated 4-2-3-1."
21:00 CET - We are underway in Seattle! As always, we will have major updates for you here, or you can follow every kick of the match with our LIVE audio commentary via the link above.

20:45 CET - We are only about 15 minutes from kick-off between the USA and Australia in Seattle, for what is just the second match at this venue at the World Cup. The first was Belgium and Egypt's 1-1 draw in Group G back on Monday.
Here's hoping for more goals this evening, and hopefully, a victor! In case you didn't know, both these sides won their openers: USA thashed Paraguay 4-1, while Australia beat Turkey 2-0.

19:50 CET - Teams are in for the USMNT vs Australia game, and the big news is that USA superstar Christian Pulisic has been ruled out of the clash through a reported calf injury. It's a huge blow to the co-hosts just when everything was looking positive for Mauricio Pochettino's side. See the full XIs below.

Josh Donaldson reports live from Seattle Stadium: "After wins in their opening games, both the USA and Australia will be in confident mood for today's clash.
"Tony Popovic made some big calls in his team selection before the first game against Turkey; he's done the same today. Goalscorers Connor Metcalfe and Nestory Irankunda both drop to the bench as the Socceroos roll the dice again. For Mauricio Pochettino, he is without Christian Pulisic - 'Captain America' - through injury.

"It's been chaos in Seattle this morning, bars filled since 7 am local time, and inside this cavernous stadium, it's going to feel like a knockout game. Let's hope the game lives up to the intensity!"

17:20 CET - With over three hours until the first game of the day begins, let's take a look at tonight's first match.
First up from 21:00 CET, co-hosts USA will look to continue the momentum from an impressive opening win against Paraguay.
USA played with an attacking fluidity that will have excited their fans, and if they can recreate that tonight, then expect the crowd to play their part again. Getting their home fans going by entertaining them feels like the USA's best hope of a deep run at this World Cup.
However, we know from Australia's opening game that their opposition will be more than happy to let them dominate the ball. So, Mauricio Pochettino's side must be wary of Australia's energetic and lightning-fast forward line - one that includes exciting talent Nestory Irankunda.
15:15 CET - There is plenty of time before the first fixture today, with USA vs Australia kicking off in just under six hours. If you are finding the time boring, why don't you check out some of our latest World Cup features?

13:00 CET - After the drama and excitement of last night, the World Cup returns at the slightly later time of 21:00 CET this evening as co-hosts USA take on Australia.
Both nations won their opening game in Group D in impressive fashion, and whilst the United States will be slight favourites in front of their supporters, this feels as hard a game to predict as it gets at this tournament.
