What looked like a certain ticket to the next round, turned into an early exit for Holger Rune at Wimbledon.
The eighth-seeded Dane won the first two sets against Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry, who is ranked 143 in the world, but squandered his comfortable lead and lost in five sets 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 3-6, 4-6.
Rune seemed completely in control in the first part of the match, but when he lost an even third set, the match tipped in favor of the well-serving Jarry.
Especially during the fourth set, Rune seemed to suffer in the heat and he also received treatment on his knee.
He found a little more energy in the fifth set, where things were even, until Jarry broke Rune's serve to lead 5-4 and subsequently served home the match.
