Brest and PSG have both drawn their last two Ligue 1 games, yet this has been one of the league’s most one-sided fixtures in recent years, firmly in the visitors’ favour.

Match News and Current Form

Brest sit in the bottom half despite being unbeaten in four league games (W2, D2), following up two wins with draws against Nantes (0-0) and then Lorient (3-3). The Pirates might have some hope of extending that streak at Stade Francis-Le Blé, where they’ve only lost one of their last six games (W3, D2). Keeping an impressive 17 clean sheets from 38 Ligue 1 home games since the start of the 2023/24 season, second only to Nice in that period (18), underlines where their success has been built, and they’ve been proficient at the other end of the pitch of late too, rattling in nine goals across their last four league games.

That barely touches the sides of the scoring prowess PSG displayed in midweek as they thrashed Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 in the UEFA Champions League. They’ve been equally as prolific domestically too, having scored 3+ goals in 22 Ligue 1 matches since the start of last season, more than any other team in the division. Although the Parisians haven’t won any of their last two Ligue 1 games on the road (D1, L1), sitting second in the table behind arch-rivals Marseille should give them extra incentive to avoid going three away league games without a win for the first time since March 2022.

Head-to-Head History

PSG are unbeaten across the last 32 H2Hs (W24, D8) since losing 3-1 in January 1985. Brest have lost the last eight Ligue 1 H2Hs they’ve hosted, and extending that here would see them establish the longest losing home streak against a single opponent in the history of the top-flight.

Betting Analysis

Everything points to another comfortable away victory, so our tip is to back PSG to win with a -1 goal handicap.
